The Business Intelligence Product Administrator will provide Crystal Enterprise support, Cognos support, administration and expertise for the Sutter Health enterprise.  Must be able to install, support and troubleshoot multi-server clustered CE and Cognos environments. Demonstrated knowledge in the CE and Cognos server component architecture and ability to architect the environment for a very large enterprise deployment.  Provide integration recommendations and architecture for products with embedded Crystal and Cognos capabilities.  Ability to effectively plan and manage capacity for future growth and usage.  Develop and manage effective operational policies and guidelines and monitor/report compliance.  The incumbent will work with I.T. product teams, affiliates and their users to understand and implement BI solutions at their sites and will set up and provide on-going support.  Serve as the resident expert on reporting tools capabilities and support system-wide developers with report performance, publishing, and security.  Manage and lead the end-user user group, establish effective agendas, and partner with vendors to provide value added learning opportunities for user community.  Lead the effort to develop, market and execute an effective training program strategy.  Stay abreast of BI product road maps, capabilities, and manage large-scale product upgrades.  Manage the CE and Cognos licensing and maintenance renewal process ensuring that Sutter Health is in license compliance.  The incumbent must have the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment where processes, equipment, customer demands and the BI products are constantly changing.

          Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Management / Technology or other related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. If degree is in Health Care administration/management, specialized course work and/or experience in computerized information management is required. Specialized training in advance project management is required.

 

          Experience: Extensive experience in managing or developing complex Information Systems projects and systems analysis. Experience in developing and administration of a large-scale CE and Cognos environments are required. Must have experience with developing methodologies for data access, query and reporting tools. Proven demonstrated success in communicating with multiple levels of an organization is required. Must have experience in working with vendors, license management, and licensing models. Strong performance in delivering training solutions to end users.  Utilization of MS office tools and project management required. Must be familiar with SQL, ODBC drivers, Windows operating environment, and network operations. Experience in leading a small technical team, providing priority management and day-to-day direction desired.
