BUSINESS ANAYST

·         Accountable for eliciting, capturing and documenting all of the required functional project deliverables including process flows, functional requirements, functional design, configuration, workbooks, test scripts, etc.

·         Accountable for ensuring that the technical solution meets the functional requirements. 

·         Work with Functional Lead and Business Process Lead to define Business Process Design strategy/plan. 

·         Structure/Lead/Conduct requirements elicitation, fit/gap sessions, etc in order to produce deliverables.

·         Facilitate and/or execute testing activities as required.

·         Conducts QA activities on all functional deliverables with the business areas.

·         Serve as bridge between the functional and the technical teams.

·         Represent business interests during quality assurance processes on all technical deliverables.

·         Ensure that functional design is built/configured as needed/required during project activities, including development, conversion, etc.

·         Develop detailed testing plans for each change

·         Ensure documentation for all changes are tracked in an effective document management system.

 

 

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Facilitate  the Retail Services System (RSS) prioritization process
  • Lead timely delivery of RSS projects
  • Create and manage comprehensive project plans including driving critical activities for estimation, design, scheduling and staffing
  • Work with the business sponsors to capture all required project deliverables  including process flows, functional requirements, functional design, configuration workbooks, testing scripts, etc.
  • Define, track and monitor metrics to measure progress of projects
  • Accountable for making sure all technical solutions meet functional requirements of the project
  • Coordinate between business requirements and technical solutions
  • Direct Process Coordinators to facilitate testing activities, QA, and delivery of training support
  • Contribute to development of communications and change management plans and materials to ensure appropriate messages and user acceptance/effectiveness
  • Coordinate  issues management and effectively escalate issues for resolution

 

Measure of Success:

·         Effective prioritization of RSS projects

·         Effective collaboration and communication between IT and business areas

·         RSS projects delivered on-time and on-budget

·         Effective testing and deployment process with minimal post deployment errors.

·         All changes are fully documented and tracked in an effective document management system.

The Client is looking for a Programmer 5 with Skill Category 3 to work on the team supporting the Benefits system. Client has been awarded Supplemental Budget Requests for several projects, and we need additional development staff to help us accomplish the work.

The projects will involve development in the Unemployment Compensation Benefits system at the Client The Benefits system is a critical legacy system that provides Client with the capability to register individuals for unemployment insurance benefits and to disburse those benefits. 

The Benefits application is programmed in a combination of Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, Unix scripting, and COBOL languages. The Oracle database on which the resource will be working resides in a Windows environment/server; however, the associated batch environment resides on Unix. This will change to Linux during this contract term. The database interacts with other entities, including a Progress dataserver. Additionally, the client is in the process of upgrades, which require them to work in various combinations of database versions, including Oracle 9, 10, and 11. 

This is technical work involving the development of complex computer programs. Responsibilities will include technical analaysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting application programs.

Years of Relevant Experience: 10 plus years
Preferred Education: 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study with advanced study preferred.

7)  Manage all the Share drives linked with SAP systems.

8)  Closely work with ORACLE DBA's for any database related issues/cleaning up activities.

Work with the front-end and back-end development team to implement online user experiences and incorporate them with currect front and backend systems while providing any design and user experience support.  Trouble shoot and resolve technical issues related to front-end design.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Web Design, Digital Media or related field required.
3-4 years work experience.
Demonstrated expertise in Adobe Creative Suite with the ability to produce original, creative design solutions.
Demonstrated expertise in utilizing Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS and Jquery in developing interactive online experiences.
Familiar with Broker / Dealer Business Knowledge would be a plus.
Familiar with the concept of Responsive design and approaches a plus.
Familiar with hand-coding HTML 5 and CSS3 a plus - not required.
Understanding of web development related issues such as SEO, accessibility, metrics, usability, web design/navigation, graphics and knowledgeable of the latest web technology.
Demonstrated experience in excellent design and creativity in web application development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  
Ability to communicate effectively to diverse audiences of technical and non-technical personnel orally and in writing.  Able to present design rationales to a non-technical audience.
Self motivated; able to organize and manage multiple tasks and project with minimal supervision.
