Freelancer Limited shares will begin trading at 12pm AEDST today on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) under the ticker FLN.

The General Offer, which closed early due to being oversubscribed, was an offer of 30 million shares at $0.50 per share. A further 5.1 million shares were offered and fully subscribed at $0.50 per share to eligible employees under the Company's Employee Share Plan.

Freelancer Limited has established the Freelancer Foundation Shareholder Program which will provide certain benefits to registered users who are also shareholders in Freelancer Limited (ASX:FLN).

[Pindi-Islamabad:94185] The Ant & the Contact Lens


Brenda was a young woman who was invited to go rock climbing. Although she was scared to death, she went with her group to a tremendous granite cliff. In spite of her fear, she put on the gear, took hold on the rope and started up the face of that rock. Well, she got to a ledge where she could take a breather. As she was hanging on there, the safety rope snapped against Brenda's eye and knocked out her contact lens.


Well, here she is on a rock ledge, with hundreds of feet Below her and hundreds of feet above her. Of course, she looked and looked and looked, hoping it had landed on the ledge, but it just wasn't there. Here she was, far from home, her sight now blurry. She was desperate and began to get upset, so she prayed to the Lord to help her to find it.

When she got to the top, a friend examined her eye and her clothing for the lens, but there was no contact lens to be found. She sat down, despondent, with the rest of the party, waiting for the rest of them to make it up the face of the cliff.

She looked out across range after range of mountains She thought, "Lord, You can see all these mountains. You know every stone and leaf, and You know exactly where my contact lens is. Please help me."

Finally, they walked down the trail to the bottom. At the bottom there was a new party of climbers just starting up the face of the cliff. One of them shouted out, "Hey, you guys! Anybody lose a contact lens?" Well, that would be startling enough, but you know why the climber saw it? An ant was moving slowly across the face of the rock, carrying it. 

Brenda told me that her father is a cartoonist. When she told him the incredible story of the ant, the prayer, and the contact lens, he drew a picture of an ant lugging that contact lens with the words, "Lord, I don't know why You want me to carry this thing. I can't eat it, and it's awfully heavy. But if this is what You want me do, I'll carry it for You." I think it would probably do some of us good to occasionally say, "God, I don't know why you want me to carry this load. I can see no good in it and it's awfully heavy. 
But, if you want Me to carry it, I will."

[Pindi-Islamabad:94184] 5 Techniques to Recharge Your Employees






I have realized that I can relate any employee with a re-chargeable battery. To elaborate it more, lets consider the analogy of smart phones. In most of the smart phones the battery consumption is displayed on the top right corner of mobile screen. When the consumption percentage falls below 25%, the color of battery icon turns orange and when it is less than 10% the color goes alarmingly red. So it is responsibility of the owner to ensure timely charging to keep it functional. Just like that, it is responsibility of each manager to closely observe the discharge level of each member of his/her team and take appropriate measures to ensure high efficiency of the employee consequently getting maximum throughput. The good news is that when employees are charged more and more, they produce the results in the same high proportion!

So below are some techniques which can be considered to boost the charge level:

1-    Trainings: Needless to emphasize the importance of training, this is one of the critically important aspect of professional growth and ultimately for the business enhancement. It's a genuine Win-Win approach. I highly recommend studying the concept of "Sharpen The Saw" from Stephen Covey's 7 Habits of Highly effective people ®. The trainings can either be online, or in-house or at international level. Further, podcasts can also be considered. 

2-   Professional Membership: Encourage employee to join professional groups. Even if the company has to pay some amount for the membership, it should be done. Employee will get satisfaction for being the member and will learn new ideas and trends in the industry which will eventually help business growth.

3-   Get together: If possible, Employee's families to be invited as well. This will give extra boost to employee's satisfaction index. Outdoor activities including Lunch, games and fun activities can be considered.

4-   Financial benefits: This is the most attractive part from employee's perspective. This can either be on annual or project basis. Specific targets can be set in terms of sale (or any applicable Key Performance Indicator). High KPI should result in high bonus. This will ensure employee go extra mile to achieve high and high. Also Employee of the month is another technique which should be used. A certificate along with optimal amount of cash will feed extra energy.

5-   Knowledge based sessions: Technical and motivational lectures/events should be arranged on weekly or monthly basis. You may find a gem within your team who loves to speak on a specific subject. Find such people and give them the opportunity to share their knowledge and skills with other colleagues.

[Pindi-Islamabad:94182] 10 Tips on How to be a Successful Husband


1. Dress up for your wife, look clean and smell good.

When was the last time we men went shopping for

nice
 pyjamas? Just like the husband wants his wife to look nice for him, she also wants her husband to dress up for her too. Remember that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) would always start with Miswak when returning home and always loved the sweetest smells.


2. Use the cutest names for your wife.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) had nicknames for his wives, ones that they loved. Call your wife by the most beloved names to her, and avoid using names that hurt their feelings.


3. Don't treat her like a fly.

We never think about a fly in our daily lives until it 'bugs' us. Similarly, a wife will do well all day – which brings no attention from the husband – until she does something to 'bug' him. Don't treat her like this. Recognize all the good that she does and focus on that.


4. If you see wrong on the part of your wife, try being silent and do not comment!

This is one of the ways the Prophet (peace be upon him) used when he would see something inappropriate from his wives (may Allah be pleased with them). It's a technique that few Muslim men have mastered.


5. Smile at your wife whenever you see her and embrace her often.

Smiling is charity and your wife is not exempt from the Muslim Ummah. Imagine life with her constantly seeing you smiling. Remember also those Ahadith when the Prophet (peace be upon him) would kiss his wife before leaving for Salah, even if he was fasting.


6. Thank her for all that she does for you.

Then thank her again! Take for example a dinner at your house. She makes the food, cleans the home, and a dozen other tasks to prepare. And sometimes the only acknowledgement she receives is that there needed to be more salt in the soup. Don't let that be; thank her!


7. Ask her to write down the last 10 things you did for her that made her happy.

Then go and do them again. It may be hard to recognize what gives your wife pleasure. You don't have to play a guessing game, ask her and work on repeating those times in your life.


8. Don't belittle her desires.

Comfort her. Sometimes the men may look down upon the requests of their wives. The Prophet (peace be upon him) set the example for us in an incident when Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) was crying because, as she said, he had put her on a slow camel. He wiped her tears, comforted her, and brought her the camel.


9. Be humorous and play games with your wife.

Look at how the Prophet (peace be upon him) would race with his wife in the desert. When was the last time we did something like that?


10. Be the best.

Always remember the words of Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him): "The best of you are those who treat their families the best. And I am the best amongst you to my family." Try to be the best!

May Allah guide all of us towards the right path.

QA Software Engineer

For consideration candidates will need a minimum of a B.S. degree preferably in information technology, computer science or a closely related field and 8 – 12 years' related experience in software quality assurance testing methodology. They will need advanced level knowledge of Unix, SQL Scripting, Shell Scripting, PLSQL and relational databases (Oracle or similar)and experience with Microsoft Office Professional and Windows PC environment. This individual will need Internet browser knowledge – understanding of file caches, advanced knowledge of browser configuration, experience working with defect tracking tools (StarTeam, Bugzilla, HP Quality Center, etc.) and reporting tools (Structured Query Reporter (SQR)) anddatabase knowledge: database structures and SQL, including data table information (HP Quality Center) and report analysis.

To perform this job successfully the QA Software Engineer'sQuality Assurance testing knowledge should include techniques used to test software applications (test suites and scripts), anomaly reporting, software analysis, automated software test packages (HP QTP, HP Loadrunner), functional and system service testing, "black box" and "white box" testing techniques, and software development data validation functional and system service testing. In addition they should have software development knowledge including structured programming languages (Visual Basic, C++, Java, Java Scripting, etc.), service oriented architecture (SOA), distributed architectures, and object oriented architecture. It is preferred they have testing experience within an organization that has utilized Rapid or Agile software development life cycles andknowledge of managed care terminology, pharmaceutical and medical information commonly reported through product applications

Sr. Data Warehouse QA Engineer

Validate the actual data mart outputs against the intended outputs

Use your understanding of our business domain to identify and report anomalies

Setup multiple QA environments to work with fabricated source data, QA source data and production source data

Test SSAS cubes; execute and test SSIS packages

Configure SSIS packages for different QA setup environments

Modify the source data and test the changes in transactional & snapshot facts tables and also all types of dimension tables

Write Transact-SQL queries to stress test the Data Marts and implement/extend our automated regression test

Prepare test cases to test user requirements against the reports and Data Marts

Write equivalent Transact-SQL queries to validate Micro Strategy and SSRS reports

8+ year work experience in software quality assurance.

Master's degree in computer science, information science or engineering is required

Experience testing products built in Microsoft SQL Server and the Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack (database engine, SSRS, SSAS and SSIS)

Experience defining and executing test plans along with documenting detailed test scripts.

Formal understanding of various QA methodologies

Familiarity with white-box (unit, integration and system level) and black-box testing

Developing automated test suites using Transact-SQL Programming

SQL Server Profiler

Data validation and exploration using MS-Excel and VBA

Micro Strategy reports and dashboards

Build test automation for Data warehouse testing

Any Microsoft platform programming language is a plus
