Project Manager, Asset Management

Our client, a global media and news organization, seeks a project manager to manage two projects which will run parallel with each other. In this role, you will initially be responsible for a small shorter term project involving a re-plat forming initiative. In the second phase, which is a larger scale project, you will be directly involved with implementing an asset management system. This is a terrific, full-cycle opportunity for the right person to take the project from discovery through final implementation and maintenance.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate mustcome from a background which consists of implementing asset management systems.
*** Preferred systems are either IBM Maximo or Oracle PeopleSoft Asset Management.***
The project manager must communicate with all levels of management regarding project information.
Developing budgets for the project and adhering to those budgets.
Developing strict time lines and ensures project is on schedule and following time line.
Must be able to understand SQL reports and be capable of translating information to upper management
Capable of developing thorough reports and present them in daily, weekly, monthly meetings.
PMP certification highly desired.
Excellent communication skills are extremely important.

Location: Charlotte, NC
Duration: 6 Months+
Skills:
Must have at least 12 years of solid PeopleSoft Financial Functional experience with (GL & AP)

Must know the PeopleSoft Financials 9.1 GL and AP modules configuration, functionality, and process based on experience and out of the box knowledge and training.

Must have at least done one upgrade and/or implementation to version 9.1

Must have outstanding communication skills both written and verbal

Must be able to gather and document requirements for final approval from the Business

Must be able to transition functional requirements to Technical team and assist as need in unit testing

Must be able to triage and perform root cause analysis on issues are reported and prepare solution from functional stand point.

Participate in triage meetings and supply documented update to both Business and IT-COE
