Description:

Our client a leading healthcare technology solutions provider and is currently seeking a proven Software Engineer who will be working on one their current and more pressing initiatives; a project aimed at uplifting their current Business Intelligence Solution from a classic ASP to .NET solution. This will involve a large scale conversion, re-architecture, and migration of their current solution along with adding new functionality and resolving any resulting defects. A smaller part of this larger effort will be the development of a web based application that will be used by their customers to report on government regulations that are part of national healthcare reform.

The selected Software Engineer candidate will be leading the execution of the front-end development of this web application. Experience in developing simple and intuitive .NET user-interfaces with knowledge of CSS and .NET MVC is required, and a shared passion for great UI design common to this group is highly preferred. The position will be offered as a 9+ month contract through DISYS to start, with the strong potential for further extension.

Requirements for the .NET Software Engineer:

· 3+ years of professional experience working as a Senior .NET Software Engineer.

· Experience developing UIs that are both simple and intuitive.

· Capable in using CSS and style templates to apply a unified look-and-feel to a web application.

· Familiar with 3rd-party web controls such as Telerik's Kendo suite.

· At least 6 months of development using .NET MVC tools and techniques.

· As a Software Engineer, knows what it takes to support multiple browsers like Chrome, IE, Safari.

· Enthusiasm for UI development and great design.

Key Duties, Responsibilities and Activities:

• Act as an internal consultant, providing architecture, vision, problem anticipation, and problem solving on an enterprise level.

• Remain continually aware of business, infrastructure, and technical issues to aid in development of innovative solutions.

• Lead, mentor, and transform existing team to become proficient with the use of WebSphere MB and MQ products

• Lead and implement WebSphere MQ and MB and related WebSphere tools in scalable solutions to meet and exceed business needs

Skill set Details:

• 5+ years experience delivering technology solutions in an architectural capacity. Architecture experience with significant depth around designing, implementing, and managing critical cross-functional application development and integration projects

• 5+ years experience in designing and developing complex ESB projects that require the participation and collaboration of cross-functional entities, using WebSphere Message Broker 7 or higher (WMQV7.1/WMBv8 a plus)

• Strong knowledge of Java technology stacks and hands-on experience of integrating applications and data across diversified technologies

• Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Information Technology or Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Experience in a broad variety of integration techniques, patterns, tools and methodologies

• Thorough understanding of various application servers, including tuning, monitoring, load balancing, high-availability and clustering, for example

• Ability to review specifications and architect interfaces based on their design

• Strong application performance tuning and troubleshooting skills

• Experience in web services, ESB, SOA, distributed applications and interoperability

• Strong communication skills, written and oral; strong and proven interpersonal skills to include: resolve differences in a professional manner, lead working groups, negotiate, influence and create consensus

•Proven ability to collaborate and work horizontally throughout a complex organization including exposure across IT including, infrastructure, networking, security, data management, and application development

• Proven experience in working collaboratively, coordinating among cross-functional teams and the ability to effectively work with organizational differences and priorities; consistently provide a clear and consistent technical vision for the project
