Position: Cognos RTM Developer
Location: Bloomington, IL
Duration: 6 Months
RTM: Real-time Monitoring
Ø Minimum of 5 years of experience
Ø Experience with BI modeling and report development tools (Cognos preferred)
Ø Understanding of data warehouse concepts
Ø Vision, initiative, and creativity in approaching technical challenges
Ø Strong analytical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and tenacity; excellent problem-solving and decision- making ability
Ø Excellent oral and written communication skills, including an ability to convey complex ideas in a simple way
Ø Ability to build relationships and work effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels
Ø Close attention to detail; commitment to accuracy
Ø Desire and ability to share knowledge, both teaching and learning from IT colleagues
Ø SQL query skills
Ø XML
Ø Basic understanding of web services
The successful candidate must also demonstrate knowledge and strength in some of the following areas:
Ø Logical and multidimensional data modeling
Ø Data warehouse and/or data mart development
Ø SQL development and tuning (PL/SQL preferred)
Ø Data visualization methods and tools
Ø Predictive analytics
Ø Experience with ETL tools
Ø Data virtualization tools
Ø Java
Ø Experience in analytic domain.
