[Pindi-Islamabad:94141] Daily Qur'an & Hadith 11 Nov 2013 (06 Muharam 1435).

English Translation of Al-Quran

[26].Surah Ash-Shuara [The Poets]

Ayat 165. "Go you in unto the males of the 'Alamin (mankind), (perpetrate sin of homosexuality & obscenity)

Ayat 166. "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your wives? Nay, you are a trespassing people!"

Tafseer of Ayat 165 to 166. "Of all the creatures in the world, will ye approach males, "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your wives mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!" Lut is referred to as "Lot" in the Hebrew Scriptures. This passage is an apparent reference to the activities at Sodom and Gomorrah. It seems to imply that there was no homosexual behavior before it first appeared in Sodom. This is a uniquely Islamic concept; it does not appear in Jewish or Christian beliefs. The passage also links the sin of Sodom (the reason for its destruction) to homosexuality. The mainstream interpretation of Quranic verses and Hadith consider homosexuality and cross dressing a sin. The Qur'an cites the story of the "people of Lot" (also known as the people of Sodom and Gomorrah), destroyed by the wrath of Allah because they engaged in "lustful" carnal acts between men.

English Translation of Hadith

Hazrat Abu Saeed (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "A man must not look at a man's private parts nor must a woman look at a woman's private parts; neither should two men lie naked under one cover, nor should two women lie naked under the same cover".

[Muslim Book 03, Chapter 16, Hadith # 667].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Ash-Shuara Ayat 166."you are a trespassing people" This Hadith tells us how Islam has closed all doors of immodesty and obscenity. When Islam does not allow a man to sleep without any clothes on with another man, and also does not permit a woman to sleep without any clothes on with another woman, how can it possibly let the gents and ladies mix freely? Free mixing of men and women is a common evil in the West and is now being projected through television in Muslim countries. May Allah guide Muslims to the Straight Path!.

[Pindi-Islamabad:94140] Hadith: The Three Companions

Narrated Anas bin Malik (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "When carried to his

grave, a dead person is followed by three, two of which return (after his

burial) and one remains with him: his relative, his property, and his deeds

follow him; relatives and his property go back while his deeds remain with

him."

We can summarize the teachings of Islam about the Muslim character in the following list:

Be truthful in everything, don't lie.

2- Be sincere and straightforward, don't be hypocritical.

3- Be honest, don't be corrupt.

4- Be humble, don't be boastful.

5- Be moderate, don't be excessive.

6- Be reserved, don't be garrulous.

7- Be soft-spoken, don't be loud.

8- Be refined and gentle in speech, don't curse and use foul language.

9- Be loving and solicitous to others, don't be unmindful of them.

10- Be considerate and compassionate, don't be harsh.

11- Be polite and respectful to people, don't be insulting or disrespectful.

12- Be generous and charitable, don't be selfish and miserly.

13- Be good natured and forgiving, don't be bitter and resentful.

14- Share and be content with what Allah has given you, don't be greedy.

15- Be cheerful and pleasant, don't be irritable and morose.

16- Be chaste and pure, don't be lustful.

17- Be alert and aware of the world around you, don't be absent-minded.

18- Be dignified and decent, don't be graceless.

19- Be optimistic and hopeful, don't be cynical or pessimistic.

20-Be confident and have deep faith, don't be doubtful and wavering.

21- Be spiritually oriented and not materialistic.

22-Be confident of the mercy of Allah, don't be despairing and lose heart.

23-Be diligent and vigilant of your duties, don't be negligent.

24-Be thankful to Allah and constantly pray to Him, don't be forgetful of His innumerable blessings.

[Pindi-Islamabad:94138] Great Use of 200 Ruppees

While driving back home I found 200 rupees (~2 USD or ~ 8 AED) in my car's dashboard. I thought that most of the time I don't really care how much money is in the dashboard or in my laptop bag or in my home drawer. The reason for this probably is that usually the amount is so less that it does not grab my attention at all. However very next moment I thought that this small cash can definitely make a BIG difference in someone's life. For example:

1- Buying 3 times meals for a person or one time meal/flour for a small family remembering the fact that there are hundreds and thousands of families who cannot afford to have 3 meals a day.

2- Buying a small blanket/sheet or a pillow for a poor who can sleep properly or by buying a sweater for a poor to keep him warm in the winter season while we enjoy warm heaters inside our homes.

3- Giving this amount to a hospital to support their free medical services.

4- Giving this amount to cover half day electricity bill for an orphan house.

5- Taking responsibility for the monthly education fee for one orphan or poor kid.

Well, we can think of many other genuine causes to spend such a minor amount in order to make BIG Difference in our society, especially considering the fact that millions of families are living below the poverty line around us or in this world. I personally think that if we don't ponder like this then we have quite a cruel attitude towards our society. So I urge all of you to find a good reason to spend your money instead of keeping the money in your car dashboards, home drawers or laptop bags. Never under estimate your little efforts. Remember that services to the society is the tax we must pay for living in this world and indeed this is one of the ways to thank God Almighty for the blessings He has showered upon you and your loved ones.

So in summary here is how you can be an effective member of humanity: a) by spending small amounts for social causes. b) by allocating 5% of your earning for feeding poor and supporting social causes c)Sharing this article on Facebook, Google Plus, Twitter and/or forwarding to your family, friends and colleagues to generate the ripple effect and spread awareness.
