Drive the design and development of a major Java application
- Manage the work of the technical team of several developers and a tester
- Be the SCRUM master of the technical team and report to project manager and program manager
- Support backlog creation, estimate efforts, analyze technical dependencies
- team up with the PM for planning, status, risk review, and reporting
- Assess the impact of change requests
- Obtain advice, information, and Support from the architect, from business analysts, and product management
- Recommend architectural solutions, receive architecture directive and set out technical standards and patterns for the development team
- Ensure the team adheres to the standards
- review code and other work items and guide developers
- analyze code quality metrics and Recommend improvements in standards, patterns, and tools
- Recommend training to improve the teams quality and productivity
- Recommend areas for code refactoring
- Coordinate interfaces with other development teams and third parties
- Coordinate development, test, and production environments with infrastructure teams and the central testing team
- Coordinate deployment, operation and Support with the production Support teams

Security teams - Senior developer or low level architect. CISSP security certification required. At least two years experience supporting application security efforts. Sr. Java development experience to lead Java developers. Solid identity management and federated security experience

Ability to create Test Plans and detailed test cases. Ability to manage/lead and coordinate Test Activities (Planning, Development and execution activities). Experience using Quality Center Test Management skills with experience on application development projects. Ability to map requirements to test cases. Position: QA Analyst

LOCATION: MA - Westwood

DURATION: 12 months

Rate: $30-35/hr C2C (Sorry for low rates)

The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for the development and execution of system test plans using established formats and templates.

Responsibilities:

* Reviewing requirements and developing test scenarios

* Executing system test plans noting test progress and capturing results

* Documenting system issues clearly so that they may be recreated by programmers

* Communicating test results to programmers/developers in a timely manner

* Documenting system modifications in the Release Note database

* Maintaining a high level of user expertise of internal systems

* Recommending systems enhancements needed to improve operational efficiencies

* Assisting with end user training as needed

Qualifications:

* Minimum of 2 years Quality Assurance/Testing experience

* Working knowledge of QA methodologies and testing techniques

* Strong technical and teamwork skills

* Experience with HP test tools

* Knowledge of SQL

* Strong organizational skills

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Background in the retirement plan industry (401K, pension plans) required

Preference

QA (Quality Assurance) Intermediate 2.0 Required

HP Mercury Testing Tools Intermediate 2.0 Required
