Hi All,

 

Client is looking for 17 Java Developers for a long term project with BCBS TX .

 

They highly prefer W2 candidates, but are also considering H1B candidates given the following conditions. First—they don't need a visa letter in the near future (they won't sign it). And second—they can't have any upcoming out of country trips scheduled .

 

Schedule:

·         Resumes are due no later than Wednesday July 12^th at Noon.

·         Vendors will be notified about which of their candidates have been selected for IN Person interviews on Thursday 14^th and Friday 15^th.

·         In Person interviews will take place Monday 18^th 1-6pm, Tuesday 19^th 1-6pm, Wednesday 20^th 8:30-12pm.

·         Decisions about who they'll be on boarding to come Thursday 21^st and Friday 22^nd.

 

 

In Person Interviews are required- NO SKYPE Interviews

 

Java Developer

 

This Candidate MUST have a strong background in application design and working knowledge of logical design.  They will be assisting in the design and development of outside portals/systems and back-end processes.

 

Following is what they will be interviewed for:

 

       Object Oriented Design and Programming

       Understanding n-tier concepts

       Working Experience with server side JAVA/J2EE programming including but not limited to JDBC, Servlets, JMS, JNDI, JSTL etc

       Java / J2EE design patterns

       Understand and experience with software development lifecycle and methodologies including code reviews and version control software such as CVS

       Understand distributed systems

       Understand and experience with SQL

       Experience with client (GUI development) and server side programming

       Experience with open source frameworks like Spring, Struts, Hibernate

       Understanding of Relational database concepts

       Experience with IDE like Websphere Studio Application Developer (WSAD) or Rational Application Developer (RAD)

       Understanding of MVS design patterns

        Experience with create application logical design

       Work with solution architect and creating logical architecture

       Able to work with the customer community on project deliverables

Responsibilities:

· Develop new features for the existing proprietary application that is an investor allocation engine. Application is used for calculating fund returns and requires updates based on new fund structures.

· Understand existing system and design and implement new software solutions into the existing system.

· Team member will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications:

· 5+ years of Java programming experience

· Strong core Java with stand alone experience (no pure web developers please)

· Experience with Object Relational mapping frameworks such as Toplink, EclipseLink, or Hibernate

· Strong Java GUI frameworks and windowing toolkit libraries

· Java Swing is a strong plus but not required

· Knowledge of Design Patterns, UML Modeling, and Code Refactoring

· Familiar with JUnit testing framework

· Experience with Software Version Control System

· SQL database experience

· Financial services and/or accounting experience is a plus but not required

PURPOSE
Provide technical specifications, development documentation, unit and system testing, environment construction, administration, and troubleshooting of IBM WebSphere Message Broker and MQ-Series environments, following corporate standards. 

 

JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Write detailed documentation for other developers and administrators to follow.
2. Troubleshoot infrastructure and possible application problems and propose optimal resolutions.
3. Assess capacity needs and provide customer service in an advisory role.
4. Develop interface technical designs and specifications for MQ-Series and Message Broker.
5. Patch, administer, optimize, and troubleshoot WebSphere Message Broker and MQ-Series environments on multiple operating systems.
6. Maintain and administer BMC Middleware Management environments.
7. Provide consultative services to various projects with regards to Message Broker and MQ-Series.
8. Be part of an on-call rotation and available for after hours support of critical production applications using Message Broker and MQ-Series.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
9. 5 – 7 years of MQ-experience and 3-4 years of Message Broker experience.
10. Provide guidance and training to peers and to developers and administrators at lower levels.
11. Demonstrated knowledge Application Development Life Cycle and multiple server platforms (AIX, Solaris, and Microsoft Windows Server).
12. Demonstrated WebSphere Message Broker and MQ-series experience (on multiple versions) including:  clustering and highly available environments, detailed knowledge of security settings and hardening, performance analysis, log analysis, configuration and development  of message flows and data transformation, creation of clusters and stand-alone systems.
13. Demonstrated experience with various Message Broker adapter development and adapter frameworks, including SAP, IMS, and others.
14. Experience with web application servers (including WebSphere Application Server) and application messaging methodologies.
15. Capable of performing detailed unit, system and integration testing.
16. Provide on-call support as required.  This may require evening and weekend work.
17. Develop and perform presentations and perform technical training when necessary.
18. Extensive experience with three tier enterprise web environment, enterprise change control, SOX requirements pertaining to change control and promotion from development, QA, staging, and production environments.
19. Experience with encryption methodologies for SSL-enabled web applications and communication channels
