Basic Function
This role is primarily responsible for consulting in Finance Transformation as a Project Manager to manage/part of PMO of projects that include process and system changes in finance at clients
The role entails being a Project Manager at client locations onsite / offsite in the following areas:
Ø PMO for the financial transformation
Ø Implementation of new systems and processes
Ø Application / ERP Reviews
The role entails creation of project plans for implementation of new systems and also manages various projects under the program to provide transparency to stakeholders. The position requires preparation of written reports and communication of findings to senior management, and effectively manage the project critical path and milestones through all the SDLC phases.
Roles & Responsibility
1. Successfully create/manage project plans for the client engagements
2. Ensure the project implementation is following the SDLC methodology
3. Create high quality and impactful deliverables in an efficient timely manner
4. Demonstrate and apply a thorough knowledge of project management while creating project plans for large finance transformation
5. Assist in proposal development, client presentation and reporting
6. Independently manage project delivery and client relationships
Skills :
Required:
a. Good understanding of Project Management/PMO
b. Should have worked with senior management – office of CIO, COO or CFO
c. Should have worked on large scale transformation projects
d. Domain Experience
i. ERP or large system Implementation
experience/certification for one or more of the following: Project Management; SAP; People soft ;Oracle; JD Edwards
Desired:
IT General Controls Review
Process Specific Skills:
Ø Should have the capability to lead engagements independently
Ø Effective Report writing skill
Soft skills (Desired)
Ø Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
Ø Strong service delivery and quality orientation
Ø Ability to work with minimal supervision in relatively unstructured environment
Education Requirement
Essential: MBA + BE or B Tech
Desirable: PMP, PRINCE2
Work Experience Requirements
8-15 years of experience in managing projects involving system and process changes in finance and a history of successful delivery of projects on time with quality.
Experience with a Consulting / Big 4 Audit firm
Expertise in PowerPoint, Project Plan, and Excel
The Project Manager must have worked in large scale transformation projects in either of the following industries:
Ø Insurance Companies
Ø Private / International Banks
