Description: We are planning to use Centrify Suite of tools to move our Unix and Linux users into Active Directory but we will need assistance (training and the development of the design).
The Active Directory environment is currently designed for the Windows. The environment, standards, policies, and design for managing Unix and Linux do not exist. We do however have a large number Unix and Linux based applications. The management of the user accounts and credentials is a very manual process and has weak auditing and reporting capabilities.
This project will create requirements, standards, and design for using Active Directory as a central user repository for storing and managing Unix/Linux user credentials, improve management of disparate user accounts, provide better provisioning integration, and reduce audit issues.
Key attributes include:
• Simplified user management and provisioning integration in UNIX and Linux environments.
• Improved user experience (one consistent strong password) while reducing the number of call to the help desk.
• Eases the integration for ITIM to UNIX and Linux.
• Improve auditing and reporting capabilities in the environment
