صحیح مسلم:جلد اول:حدیث نمبر 1880        حدیث مرفوع       مکررات 2 متفق علیہ 2   زہیر بن حرب، محمد بن بشار، یحیی بن سعید، شعبہ، قتادہ، سالم بن ابی الجعد، معدان بن ابی طلحہ، حضرت ابوالدرداء رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ کیا تم میں سے کوئی آدمی رات میں تہائی قرآن مجید پڑھ سکتا ہے؟ صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہم نے عرض کیا کہ وہ کیسے پڑھا جا سکتا ہے؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ سورۃ ( قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ) تہائی قرآن مجید کے برابر ہے۔ Abu Darda' reported Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) as saying: Is any one of you incapable of reciting a third of the Qur'an in a night? They (the Companions) asked: How could one recite a third of the Qur'an (in a night)? Upon this he (the Holy Prophet) said:" He is Allah, One" (Qur'An. cxii.) is equivalent to a third of the Qur'an.
