Job Summary
· Looking for Senior DB2 Applications DBA in the MVS CICS environment to help us migrate from Datacom to DB2. The candidate will be required to learn Datacom, so they can successfully migrate DDL and data from Datacom to DB2.
· Looking for someone who can help us convert from Datacom to DB2 environment
· Looking for someone who knows or is willing to learn Oracle and People Soft Administration.
· DB2 Application DBA administration required skills
· Multiple years experience as DB2 Application DBA. Must have served as primary DB2 Application DBA recently.
· Multiple years experience with IBM mainframe. This experience must be current.
· Good Working knowledge of DB2 systems component. The DB2 systems DBA will be outsourced but the candidate must have knowledge of this role.
· Good knowledge of DB2 Performance and Tuning. Ability to tune the server from server level and query level.
· Scripting abilities with JCL and other tools is required
· Good knowledge of DB2 Replication
· Knowledge of DB2 Clustering
· The ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems independently.
· Administrative experience with large databases(1/2 Tb or more)
· Interpersonal required skills
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to think in and out of the box.
· Must be willing to take responsibility and ownership instead of waiting to be assigned work.
· Must be willing to participate in follow the sun support for Oracle and eventually People Soft Administration.
· The candidate must be willing to provide weekend support for DB2, Oracle and eventually People Soft Administration. The support for Oracle is rotated among DBA's in US, India and London.
· The support for DB2 will be one of two people.
Other skills
· Financial services experience is a plus
· Experience in an industry which has similar pressures to the financial industry is required
· The candidate will support back office clearing systems
Nice to have
· People Soft Administrative skills. If not, the candidate must be willing to learn and help the global team support it.
· Oracle administration skills(not required but a plus)
· Working knowledge of Oracle 11G
· Working knowledge of Oracle Internals

· Hands-on experience in organizing, executing, and documenting testing results and QA of enterprise-class electronic notebook solution preferred.
· Experience with CambridgeSoft's E-Notebook software highly desirable. Understanding of the following tools: HPQC, QTP, EPIC Star, Remedy and JIRA are highly desirable.
Technical Skills:

Job Description:
· Education: MS or BS (from a major university in the US or abroad) in engineering or applied sciences, with some emphasis on quantitative methods and reasoning.
Areas of technical expertise:
· PERL PROGRAMMING: ability to program in Perl and to interpret and debug Perl programs and modules.
· MYSQL QUERY DESIGN, optimization, and trouble-shooting. Also some MySQL admin experience, although this is less important.
· LINUX ADMINISTRATION and tool development (shell scripts, etc.)
· Ability to interact with users effectively
