SQA Engineer

Responsibilities •Works under minimal supervision, following defined
procedures, build solutions to assure the security, availability and
integrity of information. •Should be able to define a process for
given set of requirements and come up with robust development and test
plans for Norton Mobile Security product. •Assists with the
development, testing, and implementation of software quality plans and
the evaluation of quality plans at the component level for NORTON
mobile Security product. •Ability to plan and estimate his/her own
work and should track the accuracy of his/her estimates and learn to
make adjustments based on his/her prior performance. •Works on test
script automation procedures using a variety of software programming
languages including Perl, C++, Java on Android platform to debug and
test Norton Mobile Security product. •Performs simple tool development
and test automation tasks for Norton Mobile security product. •Should
possess good problem solving skills to be able to judge problems in a
very complicated environment, especially in the Android platform/ or
Smartphone fields. •Participates code and design reviews on code
written by development engineers for Android OSs. •Ability to isolate
defects effectively and provide specific conditions for
reproducibility in the Android USB Debugging mode. •Develops
documents, maintains/ collects basic SQA matrics, and trains staff on
test automation and environment simulation tools, such as Android
Emulator and AVD environment variables and Android Tools Plugin.
•Completes documentation and procedures for installation and
maintenance under Android platform. May interact with users to define
system requirements and /or necessary modifications. •Ability to lead
the testing effort for a component of the product and to improve the
skill set of Grade A engineers/ or QA analysts for Norton Mobile
product team. •Ability to give presentations of work at QA meetings in
a clear and concise manner. •Should have ability to come up with good
automation procedures and produce robust test results on Android
platform. •Ability to work with other leaders on the QA team to come
up with the best testing strategies. •May be assigned to various
software engineering projects that utilize skills above.
Qualifications •2+ plus years of experience in Software testing /or
development for Android mobile devices/or Smartphone devices.
•Experience programming with Java programming language and Android
APIs •Experience in debugging mobile software applications using both
user mode and Android SDK/ eclipse/ Android Emulator/ Android Tools
Plugin •Has good tracking records of developing test plans and test
cases based upon functional specifications and customers' requirements
for Smartphone devices. •Has experience training other engineers/
analysts in the team and working with various functional teams.
