Shell Scripts and Perl scripting is very essential. Knowledge of C, C++, Java is a big plus. Financial Industry experience is a big plus.

Team player and should be a self starter (Honesty and doesn't want to re-invent the wheel)
Materialized views, Partitioning,
Perl/Shell Scripting
Unix background
OLTP/DSS/Data warehouse experience is plus
