Position: Business/Data Analyst - Oracle, SQL, Unix

Duration: 6 months

Description:

 

This role is responsible for Business Analysis, Data Analysis, production support, requirement gathering and testing for a 10 TB Marketing Data warehouse application. Functions include: Understand and translate existing impairment of data source systems into change management requirements.

 

Understand and translate the discrepancy in business data to benefit of the system and business audience. Perform Business-Oriented Analysis as needed or on demand. Perform top-down logical/physical modeling for integration and consistency.

 

Perform bottom-up source data analysis for standardization and quality. Function as a SME, who understand the business processes, as well as data available for these systems.

 

Function as a SME, who understand the business measures and metrics used for decision making. Develop and document source to target mappings and detail design of ETL processes. Assist Technical Architect in performing Data Quality Assessments Assist other Analysts in performing Functional Testing Assist in the development of efficient batch stream processes in a complex environment.

 

Provide complete support of production processes for the application Candidates must have strong Oracle SQL, Unix Shell Scripting, data modeling, and full Data warehouse life cycle experience. Knowledge of facts, measures, dimensions, and hierarchies for OLAP models is preferred. Candidates will need 4-6 years of experience in each of the following: Oracle Unix Visio TestDirector Tivoli Oracle Pro*C PL/SQL Unix Shell Scripting SQL Query.
