Work Location : Foster City , CA
Duration : 6-12 Months Contract To Hire ( Temp to Full time conversion is a strong possibility )

We're looking for a solid Data Warehouse Developer with abilities to develop metrics and modeling. Experience with Hadoop and Big Data strongly preferred.

Position Summary:

PlaySpan is looking for a strong Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse engineer with a passion for building data warehouses and business intelligence tools to make a positive impact on business performance. The ideal candidate will have experience working with billing and financial reporting.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

•          Assist in the data warehouse requirement gathering process; interact with finance team, business and product managers to prioritize the analysis and reporting requirements

•          Design dimensional data models that are optimized for performance and ease of report creation

•          Implement reliable ETL processes 

•          Design and implement reports and dashboards

•          Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with the rest of the team (including explaining technical concepts to non-technical users)

Qualifications/Skills and Knowledge Requirements

•          Superior quantitative and analytical problem solving skills.

•          BS/BA with emphasis on coursework of a quantitative nature, preferably engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or economics.

•          5+ years experience writing SQL queries and stored procedures

•          5+ years of experience in a reporting or data warehouse environment, prefer experience with billing and financial reporting

•          2+ years of experience with scripting languages like PHP

•          Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex business and technical topics to a wide array of business, technical, and executive audiences.

•          Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop cohesive working relationships
