Title: SQL Developer

Open contract for a SQL Developer reporting to the End User Device Team. This group is responsible for delivering Device Management services and Desktop Engineering solutions for Kroger enterprise locations. This contract position will report to the Project Lead with a dotted line responsibility to the IT Desktop Engineering Manager working out of the Cincinnati, OH, Blue Ash Technical Center.
Looking for a detail oriented, highly organized candidate with strong verbal communication skills. A strong candidate will also have a thorough understanding of object oriented coding design and coding experience and ability to prioritize multiple project activities. A strong candidate is driven by results, has experience tracking weekly project reporting metrics, and has a thorough understanding of Structured Query Language (SQL).
Essential Job Functions:
• Translate technical and business requirements into innovative efficient reporting solutions
• Complete SQL development and systems programming tasks as assigned
• Collaborate with project resources to drive database reporting design for core device management metrics
• Communicate weekly overall status updates to project sponsors
• Field questions from project members
• Perform duties as assigned by the Project Lead/Architect
• Soft skills as well as technical skills are critical in the position
• Ensure adherence to architecture standards and compliance
Minimum Position Qualifications:
• A demonstrated understanding of object oriented coding design and concepts
• Experience with C#.net, Java, VB.net, and .net Web Services
• A thorough understanding of Structured Query Language (SQL)
• Direct experience with Microsoft SQL 2005 or greater (prefer SQL 2008R2 or 2012 experience)
• Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) (2005 minimum, 2008R2-2012 preferred)
• Data Warehousing experience
• Must be very organized, able to balance multiple priorities, and driven by accomplishments
• Must be proficient with project summary reporting. (Technical documentation experience is a very strong plus
• 1 or more years of experience with project coordination
• Previous Job Experience:
• Demonstrated SQL development and project work
• Reporting and Business Intelligence (BI) experience a strong plus
