Design, develop, test, enhance, document, and deploy application software solutions, interfaces, and customizations as specified by
requirements taken from Business Integration.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Work hands-on and provide the technical knowledge in the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and support of the enterprise information systems.
Analyze information system requirements, create designs, and provide documentation by utilizing Echostar specified tools and methodologies. Provide information
system technology solutions by adhering to Echostar prescribed life-cycle tools and methodologies. May provide a variety of services ranging from day-to-day support,
maintenance, design, development, and trouble-shooting to improve, advance, or simplify Echostar business processes. May provide leadership or project management
within application development teams to deliver coordinated software solutions. May define standards and procedures; refine methods and techniques for information
modeling and best practices for application software development and deployment. Update SOX process documentation quarterly as required and perform/monitor
required SOX controls as described in Tutor documentation.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S) in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Work Experience:
Five plus years hands on experience with implementing and maintaining Oracle based applications with a minimum of 2 years Java development experience. Preferred, but not required, 2 years experience with OTLP application development and proficient with a UNIX (HP UX) shell environment.
Skills:
Applicants must have a strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Also, applicants must be team oriented and work well with end users and other IT team members. Candidate must be capable of interacting with Sr. Management.
Technical Skills:
ORACLE: Oracle 10g, PL/SQL (with 10g features), SQL
J2EE Technologies: JAVA,JDBC, EJB, JMS, Oracle ADF
Application Servers: WebLogic 8 and above / Tomcat
