Attached is a new CONTRACT to HIRE position that has opened up with our client. I am looking for a SAP FICO Functional configuration analyst.

·         Hourly Rate (for the first 4-6 months of Contract)

 A few points to keep in mind as you go about looking for candidates:

·         This is a contract to hire position. This position WILL convert to full time. Please DO NOT send me candidates who are looking for contract only position. This is a replacement position for a current full time employee who is leaving. We are doing a try buy so that we can get the right person for the job.

·         Focus on candidates that have worked in small teams. I typically get SAP resumes where folks have worked in large teams/environments, having focused on a specific module/functional area. I need someone who has had experience in multiple functional areas & data sets. A small team setting provides individuals to get such exposure & experience.

·         Need someone who speaks well and can interact well with business directly.

·         Make sure to explain the working environment of a financial services company (pressures and deadlines)

 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

SAP FICO Functional configuration Analyst will provide EXPERTISE in all aspects of SAP's FI

(Financial Accounting), CO (Controlling), Procurement and Travel Expense modules along with

integration points with MM and Human Capital Management (HCM) modules.

This role will assume responsibilities for the development, support & maintenance of our SAP 6.0

system which is live with SAP GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Travel Expense, and Procurement.

Other modules running are HCM, and SAP Business Warehouse.

JOB DUTIES

· The SAP Functional configuration analyst is expected to have expertise in General Ledger,

Book Close, Tax, A/R, A/P, Consolidation, Cost elements, Profit Centers, Orders, Fixed

Assets, Travel Expense, and other facets of the FI and CO modules.

· This is a HANDS-ON role that will execute FICO configuration, functional documentation,

testing plans and results, system documentation and training materials

· Analyst will guide the business in utilizing SAP functionality to the best extent possible, and

involves review of business processes and system integration challenges.

· Extensive coordination with Business Users in delivering and supporting SAP solutions.

· Prepare detailed functional specifications for development activities including reports,

interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms.

· Support the on boarding and training of Power Users. This includes providing technical

training and functional training. Facilitate knowledge transfer, communication and interaction .

· Assist in releasing break-fixes to production after testing and coordination of testing

· Adhere to good systems development methodology

· Prepare project related documentation (object designs, business rules, technical information

etc) during the different stages of the project.

· Modules – Financials, Procurement, Human Resources

 

 

REQUIRED Prior Experience & Education

· 5+ years hands-on functional CONFIGURATION experience with SAP FI & CO modules:

o General Ledger

o Accounts Payable

o Cost and Profit Center Accounting

o Fixed Assets

o Travel expenses

o Internal Orders

o BI Reporting

o Consolidations

o Accounts Receivable

o Product costing

o Taxes

o Currencies and Exchange Rates

o Special Purpose Ledgers

· 2+ experience in version 6.0 (new GL)

· Experience with SAP procurement (end to end procure to pay cycle)

· Experience with Travel and Expense.

· 2+ Full Life Cycle large project implementations

· SAP certification(s) preferred

· Bachelors degree in finance or related computer Science; or equivalent experience

· Excellent Communication skills (Verbal and written) since this is a direct business facing role.

· Must have strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving abilities.

· Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

· Must have experience working on small fast paced project teams.

· Must have the ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities

· Experience in reporting tools such as ABAP queries, Report Painter and Report Writer is

REQUIRED.

· Experience with SD billing module is a plus.

· ABAP development experience is a plus.

· Workflow experience is a plus.

· Experience working in a financial services company preferred.
