Responsibilities:
· This software engineer will be located in Eagan MN and be a member of a distributed team developing software for the Global Core Legal division of Professional Technology
· The position will work with other MAF developers in global Service Centers to design solutions and develop features on multiple platforms
· Develop web applications used for legal research around the world based on predefined requirements
· Development responsibilities concentrate on Java development and user interface technologies including AJAX , CSS, HTML, JavaScript, JSON, Velocity, XML and XSLT
· Knowledge of web architectures including Service Oriented Architectures, load balancing, session/state management, queuing, caching, performance analysis, and data access desirable
· Participate in global design review meetings
· Participate in project meetings
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
· >5 years Web development experience
· >5 years Java development experience
· Experience with AJAX , CSS, HTML, JavaScript, JSON, Velocity, XML and XSLT
· Some SQL database experience
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Experience with Agile development methodologies
· Track record of superior performance
· Strong & collaborative team player
· Goal and task focused with a strong desire to exceed objectives and initiative on resolving issues and completing deliverables
