Title:  Microsoft Project Server 2010 Developer

Duration:  5 months

 

  • This RFQ is open for resumes -  Hiring Manager prefers candidates to the NY/NJ metro area.
  • All candidates should be available for an on-site interview if that is initially requested. All Candidates should be able to start fairly quickly.
  • Assignment: 5 months. Extensions past this time are possible. Continued engagement or extensions are driven by performance and business need. Preferred work will be Peapack NJ. No remote work.
  • Work Schedule:40 hours.

 

Requires:    Advanced experience 7+ years of .Net and Sharepoint Development.  

 

Background:

 

  • The MPS System is a customized Project Server 2010 solution that serves to manage the PGS BT Portfolio Management Process and Governance. This system also has the UMT Financial Server 2010 component installed to manage the financial state of each project (Forecast/Actuals) for reporting purposes. The system is rollout globally.
  • Objectives:
    • As a developer, the individual should be able to perform software construction, including preparation of new software, reuse of existing code, modification of existing programs, or integration of purchased applications.
    • Perform unit testing and debugging.
    • Work with business analysts, other team members and clients to review the business requirements and prepare technical design documents, including the documentation of extended use cases, class diagrams, collaboration diagrams, sequence diagrams and non-functional and functional prototypes, as needed.
    • Prepare or assist in the preparation of implementation documentation.
    • Work with Business Technology (BT) staff to analyze and resolve defects identified through the QA process.
    • Work with business analysts, and other BT professionals to help identify and resolve issues in the production environment.
    • Other activities might include:
      • -Day to day support
      • -Oversee migration activities
      • -Ensure project plan schedules are met and provide timely status and obstacle updates to the management team.
      • Note: The candidate will also be expected to assist in developing the strategy for optimal use of Project Server 2010 within the organization.
  • Candidate must be able to work with very little supervision in a highly charged and fast paced environment.
  • Scope:
    • The position of Project Server Developer is for an Information Technology professional with a dedicated, detail oriented individual with experience working both independently and in teams with the flexibility to handle multiple roles and learn new applications/roles as needed.
    • The candidate must have extensive experience working as a liaison between business partners and technology colleagues.
    • Additionally, the candidate must have excellent written and verbal skills and should be able to express the designs to both end-users and technical development staff (internal and external).
