Summary of job:

The Platform Services Engineer (Windows) will be responsible for systems administration, maintenance, software releases and design of all production Windows servers and Backup systems.

 

Responsibilities will include:  

·   Administration and maintenance of all Windows Servers.

·   Administration and maintenance of Backup Systems.

·   Support of .NET and IIS applications.

·   Supporting all development efforts by various application teams.

·   On call support during off hours and weekends.

·   Troubleshooting critical site events.

·   Providing recommendations on approaches to troubleshooting and resolution of site and production issues.

·   Setting various development and administration standards for Production and Development systems.

 

Requirements:

·   3+ years experience in Windows environment

·   Experience with Windows 2008 and 2003

·   Experience with Backup technologies and support (NetBackup, PureDisk)

·   Strong DNS knowledge

·   Experience with .NET and IIS 6.0 and 7.0

·   Enterprise infrastructure experience required

·   Network integration experience preferred

·   Troubleshooting and support experience in an e-commerce environment

·   Good interpersonal skills

·   Courteous and calm under pressure.

·   Ability to mentor and guide other engineers

·   Ability to improvise and innovate is a must.

·   VMware

·   Global DNS

·   SQL 2008, 2005, 2000

·   F5 Load Balancers

·   CMS, PerForce

·   Microsoft Clustering

·   Citrix
