Description:
- Seeking a Senior level Oracle DBA whose primary focus will be project delivery for our business customers in support of our growing infrastructure. 
- This individual will need to be well versed in all aspects of Oracle database administration, including how Oracle interacts with other Enterprise software.

Responsibilities:
• Overall planning, installation, setup and upgrades for Cap -> oracle database environment in large corporate environment.
• Technical documentation of environment.
• Training and transition to support teams.
• Applies understanding of relational database concepts and query languages in order to design required summary or aggregation tables to support analysis.
• Coordinates with technology/infrastructure staff to identify data relationships for functional requirements and analyze/resolves issues related to information flow and content.
• Understands existing data architecture standards and conventions and contributes to the development and enforcement of best practices for database use.
• Performs data modeling studies and develops detailed data models.  Maintains data model and entity relationship diagrams.
• Working with Architects, Engineers, application development and infrastructure teams to influence key decisions in effort to meet or support business needs and objectives.

Required Skills and Experience:
• 5+ years experience administering Oracle (10g and above)  and supporting RAC in a large, production environment.
• Oracle 11g administration experience.
• Oracle RAC implementation experience.
• Installing, upgrading and maintaining Oracle database systems and experience using enterprise level tools including Oracle Enterprise Manger (OEM) and RMAN for Oracle database backup and recovery administration.
• Monitoring and tuning databases and experience working together with a team to deliver high availability service. 
• Analyzing, developing and maintaining data architectures, process models, application – database interfaces and experience consulting to an Oracle data base design and implementation team.
• 5 or more years experience working within infrastructure and must demonstrate a strong understanding
and working knowledge of integrating Oracle databases with other Enterprise technologies.

Desired Experience/Other Requirements:
• Experience with enterprise monitoring suites is a plus.
• Must be able to successfully manage large enterprise projects.
• Must have senior level problem solving skills.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong work ethic.
• Must have the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Must be self motivated, able to plan work effort and manage to schedule and priorities.
• Must be flexible, adaptable, & available for project work during non-standard hours.
• Strong experience in Unix and SQL.
