Position: Oracle Tech Financials Consultant/Lead

Duration: 3 months

Broad View:

Require a resource who has implemented the Oracle Cash Management (CM-r12) module in an environment that also uses Oracle Payables (AP), Oracle Receivables (AR), and Oracle General Ledger (GL). The client uses Oracle Grants Accounting (GA), and the ideal resource is someone who knows that module as well. GA is not widely used, so that may not be possible.

 

Require a thorough understanding of the CM data model, and AR and AP for receipts and payments. Require knowledge of BAI file integration to CM, bank statement interface, and loader programs.

Experienced Oracle Financials technical implementation consultant. Require a resource who has implemented the Oracle Cash Management (CM) module in an environment that also uses Oracle Payables (AP), Oracle Receivables (AR), and Oracle General Ledger (GL). As Stanford uses Oracle Grants Accounting (GA), an ideal resource is someone who knows that module. GA is not widely used, so that may not be possible. However, it would be very beneficial if the consultant has worked on implementations where Oracle Projects is used (PA).

 

Require a thorough understanding of the CM data model, and AR and AP for receipts and payments. Require knowledge of BAI file integration to CM, bank statement interface, and loader programs.

 

Require a resource who can lead the technical implementation and lay out a plan for technical considerations. The consultant will work closely with a business systems analyst to map Stanford's current manual cash management processes into Oracle Cash Management. Require a resource who can advise on implementation options and guide the business to the optimal implementation.

 

Ideal consultant will have implemented for release 12, and will understand new Oracle Cash Management cash flows and cash positioning features.

 

Detailed:

-They want a resource who can lead the technical implementation and lay out a plan for technical considerations.

-The consultant will work closely with business systems analyst to map the client's current manual cash management processes into Oracle Cash Management.

-Need to analyze what custom development needs to be done and make recommendations to their system. 

-Require a resource who can advise on implementation options and guide the business to the optimal implementation.

-Ideal consultant will have implemented release 12, and will understand new Oracle Cash Management cash flows and cash positioning features.

-Consultant needs to tell them what steps to go through on mapping the business requirements to configuring the system.

-The Oracle AR and AP are barely being used throughout the campus and they (long term) will need to be able to integrate that with the Oracle Cash Management piece in r12.

-OBIEE experience is the next phase, so that will give them a better opportunity long term.

 

Confirmed that the critical part is Oracle Cash Management. The client hired a technical analyst who is unable to help understand all the product features (oracle has horrible documentation), and tell them what steps to go through on mapping the business requirements to configuring the system. They are very weak. 

 

They also need someone who can help them analyze what custom development needs to be done for those reqs that can't be done. Basically need a very strong technical leader who can review and add to the approach and then get the configuration started in the next 30 days.
