Primavera upgrade from 5.0 to 6.0

Work Location : Sacramento, CA

Duration : 2 month contract or longer at market rates.

He is in charge of a Primavera upgrade from 5.0 to 6.0

As an overview:

 

They purchased land in the south area a year ago and are starting to build a new corporate yard to replace the one on S street. Turner Construction got the project and they use Primarvera 6.0 for their PM app.  SMUD has version 5.0 and needs to upgrade it b/c there are integration problems with the reporting.  Specifically, SMUD cannot interpret the data correctly for the "Current Earned Value Calculation" report that tracks where they are on money on the project at any given time.  Version 5.0 has a different report and they don't sync up.  They will be sending out a resume request for a Primavera expert to do the migration from v. 5 to v. 6.  Skills needed will be:


1)install application and configure, 2) take the 5.0 formatted files, load into 6.0, do migration, etc.  3) provide training on new version to users.   He is working with Mike Hewitt to make sure they have the hardware/infrastructure to support the new version.   They may  need this person to help with the definition of business requirements from the users so that the new version has the functionality that they need.  This person will be working with a SMUD person from Applications group as well as someone from the server admin group to help with the upgrade.  Giving us a heads up on the requirement.  Timeline is : resumes request out by this week or early next week, review resumes the following week and start person early march.  this will be about a 2 month engagement, possibly longer for training.
