Location: Bay area

Duration: 6 months +

 

QA consultant with Agile s/w testing experience (Mobile, web,  applications testing experience)

 

• Experience leading, overseeing and planning activities for both manual and

Automated testing teams. Expert knowledge of Mercury testing suit tools (Quality

Center, QTP), Toad and Merant Tracker. Ability to train and mentor testing

resources

• Healthcare background

• Knowledge of testing best practices and ability to make recommendations and

assist with implementing the approved best practices

• Must be familiar and proficient in Quality Center Administration and be able to

create testing scripts

• Familiarity with relational databases and software development tools and

methodologies

• Works closely with the business to identify data requirements and validate

data creation

• Work closely with QA engineers, developers and business teams to correctly

understand business requirements and technical documentation.

• Executes test scripts, logs errors into defect tracking tool, recreates them

as needed and provides additional information to developers when requested,

tracks errors through to resolution, and escalates issues when appropriate.

Writes test reports and maintain significant levels of test documentation

• Writes testing scenarios and testing scripts for testing web applications

using industry accepted testing methodologies and procedures

• Participate in requirements, system and database design, and code reviews

• Writes test reports and maintains significant levels of test documentation

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred

• Proficiency in MS Office skills, Agile s/w dev. Methodologies, testing

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Detail-oriented and ability to work well under time constraints and with

multiple projects

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills

• Strong teamwork skills

•7 to 9 years experience in software quality assurance
