Microsoft has created a SKU line-up for Windows 7. Windows 7 will be available in 6 versions. Which Windows 7 edition is right for you?
SKU means the StockKeeping Unit and it is the number of a specific product which is available for sale. If, say, a software comes in different versions, then thats its no. of SKU's.
The SKUs for Windows 7 are:
Windows® 7 Starter,
Windows® 7 Home Basic
Windows® 7 Home Premium,
Windows® 7 Professional,
Windows® 7 Enterprise and
Windows® 7 Ultimate.
However, Microsoft will be focusing on two primary editions of Windows 7: Windows 7 Home Premium and Windows 7 Professional.
Each SKU is a superset of the previous SKU. This means that each higher edition SKU will have every feature lower edition SKUs have.
o For Consumers, Microsoft recommends Windows 7 Home Premium for most customers and Windows 7 Professional for customers who want additional features and functionality useful for small business activities.
o For Businesses, Microsoft recommends Windows 7 Professional for most customers and Windows 7 Enterprise for medium-to-large business and enterprise customers that choose to license Windows through Software Assurance.
o The features in each version of Windows 7 build upon the one before it. As customers move up from one SKU to the next, from Windows 7 Starter through Windows 7 Ultimate, they gain additional features and lose none.

Client-only Remote Desktop
Home Basic:
No Aero Glass
No Premium games
No Media Center support
No Tablet PC or Multi-Touch support

Note:
BitLocker Drive Encryption is a full disk encryption feature included with the Ultimate and Enterprise editions of Microsoft's Windows Vista and Windows 7 desktop operating systems, as well as the Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2 server platforms. .
Ultimate includes all Enterprise and all Home Premium features, including multi-language packs. Windows 7 Enterprise is available only through Microsoft Volume Licensing
Microsoft will continue to offer a few targeted SKUs for customers with specialized needs:
1. For price-sensitive customers with small notebook PCs, some OEMs will offer Windows 7 Starter.
2. For customers in emerging markets, Microsoft will make Windows 7 Home Basic available.
3. Businesses have two recommended choices: Windows 7 Professional and Windows 7 Enterprise.
Windows 7 Professional is recommended for small businesses and Windows 7 Enterprise is recommended for mid- and large-sized businesses that have a Software Assurance Agreement with Microsoft.
Now our today Practical is Clean Installation of window 7 every one can't install window 7 for this course because specification of computer or someone still like window xp.
so we have a virtual softwre that is very useful for desktop virtualization called Vmware u can use other virtual software just like Oracle virtual box but the function is same installed a windows into your windows.you can on your virtual machine its have total functionality of real windows.andother benefit of virtual machine if u don't have driver of window 7 for your laptop and desktop PC u can install window 7 on your virtual machine virtual machine build driver with the help of previous version installed on your computer.this is not part of our course but being and it professional its very useful and interesting things for all you all are really enjoy to use Virtual Machine.but we have Powerful ROM memory its easy to install and run
without slow your other program running on your window
How to download Virtual Machine?
Just search on inter net VMware virtual Machine download and type your processor just like x86(32 bit window) or x64 (64bit) or AMD processor etc. its freely available on the internet.
i can attach a link for x86 prosessor some time its also work for x 64 or other computer.but its better to type your processor name.or for windows
if its not work on some computer u can download oracle virtual box form the internet.or other software.
