Must Have Skills
At least 8 Yrs of experience
Manual Testing (Hands On)
Perl Scripting Knowledge
Understand Unix OS commands
Understanding Rational Function Tester
Debugging experience
Strong Analytical skills and Ability to find bugs
Nice To Have
Experience working closely with Automation Team, understand where and when they need to be brought in
Knowledge of Networking
Knowledge of Video Formats (H264, MPEG4 etc)
Here are some knowledge sets that would help find candidates that fit even more:
• Networking basics – be able to set up a switch, router etc
• Strong linux knowlegde, so when there is issue between the server (linux) and edge-device (camera) or the client PC, he knows how to debug further
• Strong testing skills with products that have a application front and a backend server
• Medium to high scripting knowledge (unix scripting)
