Quality Engineer

To perform daily cross-functional job assignments as required and per the department's established procedures and work instructions.

Have knowledge of general workplace health and safety in regards to the general public and visitors to Decostar.

Ensure a spirit of respect, cooperation, ethical conduct and fair dealing in all our operations between our internal, external customers and suppliers.

Ensure effective communication and containment of quality issues identified by customers. Travel to customer's location may be required.

Ensure effective root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions are implemented for customer quality issues. Also ensure this information is uploaded into the appropriate customer database.

Ensure every customer complaint for your customers are responded to within the customer specified timeframe.

Effectively manage the relationship with your customer to ensure that your customers view Decostar in a positive manner.

Establish boundary samples with the customer for subjective quality issues.

Conduct supplier quality system surveys according to ISO/TS16949 requirements.

Assist the Supplier Quality Engineer by reviewing and approving supplier PPAPs and attend supplier run at rate trial as designated.

Participate in continuous improvement programs and activities to ensure meeting of departmental performance objectives.

Skills and Experience Required:

Bachelor's degree in a related field is required. An Associate's Degree coupled with at least four years of relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of Bachelor's degree.

• Create, revise, and execute test cases (automated, white box, and/or black box) • Work directly with software developers to ensure requirement implementation/verification correctness and to review test case coverage. • Write software defect reports. • Familiarity with Software Development Life cycle (SDLC) and testing process

• Experience testing of applications on web-based, client/server, UNIX and X86, X64 platforms

• Working knowledge of relational database technology and SQL

• Strong understanding of database architecture/concepts

• Experience in agile/scrum development methodology

• Experience with SOA principles desired
