Position: Java Architect

Duration: 6 Months

Solution Architect to provide an end to end solution for a modularization requirement. High-level deliverables include:
1. Create a framework for an end to end solution that will abide by established standards
2. Create a tactical plan to move the existing system to the new architecture.

Skills/Experience Requirements:
1. At least 10 years of experience in Information Technology with at least 5 years in designing and architecting medium to large scale solutions.
2. Advanced knowledge in Java/J2EE platform with at least 5 years of hands on experience.
3. Experience using Struts & Tiles framework, Hibernate, SOA architecture, Design patterns best practices
4. Experience architecting at least one end to end enterprise wide solution preferably for Government sector
5. Experience in creating cost-effective, quality intrinsic and easy to support solutions; Experience using Open Source packages and decoupled framework.
6. Experience creating solutions that integrates with external systems including legacy systems.
7. Provide solutions for data architecture including normalized schema, working with in-house DBA
8. Experience in creating non-functional requirements for Performance, Scalability, Security, Availability etc.
9. Provide recommendations on suitable architecture for server farm, network, F5 servers etc.
10. Experience in setting up clustered environment and recommending the ideal infrastructure for the scalability requirements
11. Experience in providing alternative designs to manage risk and various stakeholder interests
12. Should have moderate understanding of Project Management
13. Should have excellent spoken and written communication skills to articulate vision with business, technical managers and team members.
14. Should be able to identify gaps and necessary skill-set to enable the solution
15. Should be willing to guide and mentor the team
16. Should foster an open work culture
