[Pindi-Islamabad:93849] Story: The Thirst
There is a legend of a man who was lost in the desert, dying of thirst. He stumbled on until he came to an abandoned house. Outside the dilapidated, windowless, weather–beaten, deserted shack was a pump. He stumbled forward and began pumping furiously, but no water came from the well. Then he noticed a small jug with a cork at the top and a note written on the side: "You have to prime the pump with water, my friend. P.S. And fill the jug again before you leave." He pulled out a cork and saw that the jug was full of water.
Should he pour it down the pump? What if it didn't work? All of the water would be gone. If he drank the water from the jug, he could be sure he would not die of thirst. But to pour it down the rusty pump on the flimsy instruction written on the outside of the jug?
Something from inside told him to follow the advice and choose the risky decision. He proceeded to pour the whole jug of water down the rusty old pump and furiously pumped up and down. Sure enough, the water gushed out! He had all he needed to drink. He filled the jug again, corked it and added his own words beneath the instructions on the jug: "Believe me, it really works. You have to give it all away before you can get anything back."
That's why Giving is important..!!!

There was a good old barber in Mumbai. One day a florist goes to him for a haircut. After the cut, he goes to pay the barber and the barber replies:
I am sorry, I cannot accept money from you; I am doing a Community Service.
Florist is happy and leaves the shop.
The next morning when the Barber goes to open his shop, there is a "Thank You" Card and a dozen roses waiting at his door.
A Confectioner goes for a haircut and he also goes to pay the barber. He again refuses to take the money.
The Confectioner is happy and leaves the shop.
The next morning when the Barber goes to open his shop, there is another "Thank you" Card and a dozen Cakes waiting at his door.
A Software Engineer goes for a haircut and he also goes to pay the barber again refuses the money saying that it was a community service.
The next morning when the Barber goes to open his shop, guess what he finds there......
A Dozen Software engineers waiting for a free haircut... with Printouts of forwarded mail mentioning about free haircut.

Yesterday morning while getting ready for office I was brushing my teeth. Without realizing my 3 years old daughter standing right behind me I moved a little backwards resulting my body hit her a little. Because my tooth brush was in my mouth so I couldn't say sorry to her. As Hadia has recently learnt about using Thank-you and Sorry for different situations from her school teacher, she was expecting me to say sorry without understanding the fact that while brushing her father can't do so. She waited for me for a little while to apologize which I did not. So her little heart broke and she started crying. I immediately finished my brushing and kissed her and said sorry to her. Very soon she became normal and forgot what has happened a while ago and we had a great breakfast J
Later I pondered that with friends, family and colleagues we often forget to say sorry for our mistakes which results in stiffen relationship causing brawls or complete break-up. While our loved ones give us time and expect our apologetic response, we forget to say sorry or sometimes even ignore the matter altogether considering it a minor one; whereas, it may be critically important for someone. Hence it is important for us to pay attention to this aspect and consider improving our Emotional Intelligence Skills (Managing ours' as well as others' emotions), enhance Empathic Skills and endeavour to develop trust with our loved ones for healthy relationships.

English Translation of Al-Quran
[26].Surah Ash-Shuara [The Poets]
Ayat 26. Musa PBUH (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers!" Ayat 27. Firaun (Pharaoh) said: "Verily, your Messenger who has been sent to you is a madman!"
Ayat 28. Musa PBUH (Moses) said: "Lord of the east and the west, and all that is between them, if you did but understand!" Ayat 29. Firaun (Pharaoh) said: "If you choose an illah (god) other than me, I will certainly put you among the prisoners." Ayat 30. Musa PBUH (Moses) said: "Even if I bring you something manifest (and convincing)?"
[Tafseer] of Ayat 26. (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers from the beginning!" 27. (Pharaoh) said: "Truly your messenger who has been sent to you is a veritable madman!" Pharaoh is further perturbed. In reply to Moses's statement that Allah, the One True God is also the God of the Egyptians and Pharaoh also, Pharaoh says sarcastically to his Court: "Look at this 'Messenger' of yours; he seems to be mad!" But Moses is not abashed. He boldly says what is the truth: "It is you who are mad! The God of Whom I preach is the Universal Lord-of the East and of the West. He reigns wherever you go!" 28. (Moses) said: "Lord of the East and the West, and all between! if ye only had sense!" 29. (Pharaoh) said: "If thou dost put forward any god other than me, I will certainly put thee in prison!" Now we come to the crisis. Pharaoh threatens Moses with prison for treason. Moses remains calm and still argues: "What if I show you a miracle? Will it convince you that I am not mad, and that I have behind me the Lord of all the Worlds?" 30. (Moses) said: "Even if I showed you something clear (and) convincing?" The Egyptians were addicted to magic and sorcery, which was mostly false. It a true miracle were shown to them, would they believe? Perhaps they would see the hollowness of their own magic. In fact this actually happened with the Egyptian sorcerers themselves and perhaps with the commonalty. But Pharaoh and his Court were too arrogant, and battened too much on frauds to yield to Truth.
English Translation of Hadith
Hazrat Jabir Ibn Abdullah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah 
[SAWW](PBUH) before sacrificing animal on 10th Zhu'al Hajjah supplicated these words, "I detaching myself from every one and concentrating on one". "Who created the heavens and the earth, and I am not one of the polytheists "Verily, my Salat (prayer), my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of the Universe ('Alamin all mankind, jinns and all that exists). O Allah (this sacrifice) it comes from you and is given to (sacrifice for) you. In the name of Allah, and Allah is Most Great" He then made sacrifice. [Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi]
Lesson : as mentioned in this Hadith " Sacrificing animals on 10th, 11th and 12th Zhu'al Hajjah is conduct furnishes the principle that the reward of sacrificing something for Allah goes with its Quality. The more precious the thing sacrificed, the greater its reward will be.
NOTE: This Dua must be read in Arabic before Sacrifice. reading translations in other languages is not recommended.
