We need this person to know MicroStrategy, HP QC /ALM and Load Runner.
The QA/BSA will be responsible for the testing activities and testing resources for the Business Intelligence (BI) Infrastructure Upgrade project and the MicroStrategy Retail Analytics mobile Dashboard development. Responsibilities include planning, monitoring, and creating and validating test strategies, test scenario, project plans and test scripts.
The QA/ BSA will be responsible for business analysis deliverables, including but not limited to workflows and process models, business requirements, use cases, business rules, training manuals, release notes, standards and procedures. For the BI Infrastructure Upgrade project, responsibilities include writing security policies, MicroStrategy system administration and license provisioning procedures.
Candidate needs to have understanding of Business Intelligence applications, MicroStrategy, mobile devices (iPad), and server infrastructure. Performance and stress testing using Load Runner is required experience.
Essential Job Functions:
· Manage all aspects of the testing program for complex Business Intelligence upgrade applications, extract, transform, and load applications, batch processes/jobs, connectivity efforts, and environment.
· Develop test strategy, test requirements matrix, and test work plan for ETL (Informatica) and MicroStrategy business applications
· Develop test scenarios, writing test cases and scripts and executing test scripts
· Develop and maintain test traceability matrix, matching results to requirements and design objects in HP Quality Center
· Develop and execute test scripts and document detailed expected results. Includes scripts for functional, regression, performance and system tests.
· Perform data validation and data reconciliation
· Perform user interface testing for iPad Application
· Load test data into databases in support of requirements and testing needs.
· Verify all test results to ensure system is performing functions as described in business requirements and design documents.
· Gather business and technical requirements; write detailed and accurate requirements, procedures and manuals, problem reports/defects where applicable.
· Analyze system integration functional requirements
· Identify risks throughout the project and providing mitigation strategy
· Drives analysis needs to resolve day-to-day production issues
· Coordinate specification review with business, technical, and training staff
· Participates in global architecture communities with representatives from across IT
· Review application and system requirements and design documentation to ensure highest level of quality
· Build testing metrics and develop daily test results to project manager; document project life cycle and test summary at the end of the project.
· Coordinate daily stand-up meetings with development and test staff during QA execution cycle. Report testing progress to project team daily.
· Contribute to and support User Acceptance testing efforts
· Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure appropriate information is updated and distributed to necessary stakeholders in weekly status reports.
- Review application documentation to ensure highest level of quality
- Provide project close-out deliverables including a project test summary.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- 5 -7 years of work experience in IT Applications Testing and Business Analysis
- Experience with Mercury Suite of Products (QTP/Load-Runner/Quality Center)
- Testing documentation tools, preferably HP ALM - Quality Center suite of products
- Experience with MS Office Excel pivots for data validation and reconciliation
- Experience with MicroStrategy/ Data Warehouse; running reports, exporting reports for data validation and reconciliation
- Experience with MicroStrategy/BI server environments
- Experience with mobile devices, e.g. iPads
- Familiarity with Web servers, Web Sphere, DB2
- Proven ability to write and execute SQL queries
- Experience analyzing and discovering software deviations.
- Experience with Windows/XP/ME/UNIX platforms
- Familiarity with Informatica ETL script execution
- Proven ability to work in a matrix environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to include advanced interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work autonomously with very limited supervision as well as collaboratively with others.

- Experience in software development life cycle and QA deliverables required
