Staff Quality Engineer

Responsibilities: Provide Quality Engineering support to R&D by
ensuring proper quality plans are in place, creating and validating
test equipment and processes, performing material dispositions, and
other support as required.

Participate in new product development by writing and executing test
protocols, developing test methods, creating product performance
requirements, and ensuring all testing to support design control and
product introduction is completed as required.

Perform internal and external quality system assessments. Participate
in ensuring all aspects of the quality system requirements are met.
Work with purchasing to maintain partnerships with suppliers.
Requirements: *Multi-level position: Position title and level posted
is preferred. However, we will consider hiring at the Principal
Engineer level.

A minimum of seven years experience is required for the Staff Engineer
level. A minimum of ten years work experience is required for the
Principal Engineer level. Medical device industry experience is
preferred. Validation and Verification experience is essential.
Additionally, experience with plastic component materials, bonding and
test method development is desired. Experience within a product
development focused organization is also preferred.

A Bachelor's degree in sciences or engineering is required.

Detailed knowledge of quality practices within the medical device
industry, FDA Quality System Requirements (QSR), ISO 13485, ISO 14971
and Total Quality Management (TQM) practices a plus.

Excellent organizational skills, strong statistical skills,
independent thinking, and a high level of initiative are a must. The
ability to work well independently and as a member of a team is
essential for success.

Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Somebody with very Web Services background! Not looking for a technical Java people. I need people who understand Web Services, the advantages of using it. Why it used, and has a complete understanding of it. The other part of this is very strong XML experience. People who have RPC/Jax B or Jax WS.

This s a SERVICES based developer not a standard UI front end developer.

Development of services with integration to other internal and third party sites. XML and mq are good communication and technical writing skills are mandatory

The following are mandatory:

*Understanding of J2EE, MQ Series, IBM RAD, Apache Struts, Unix Shell Scripting, Database, Db2, SQL, HTML, JavaScript and XML technologies

Extensive experience in esb (enterprise service bus), SOA (service oriented architecture), JAX RPC, Apache Axis and creating WSDLs

Design and develop J2EE software components in a fast paced multidisciplinary environment.

* Lead discrete development projects and take complete ownership of technical solution.

* Develop accurate level of effort estimates, and manage task schedules.

* Excellent communication skills that can be used to effectively communicate technical concepts to business teams.

* Understand consumer customer requirements with respect to its impact to the success of the business goal and be able to translate them to a technical implementation.

* Suggest innovative solutions to business problems/processes that leverage technology to provide marketing differentiation, performance improvements, and better user experiences.

* Interact well with other technical team leaders such as architects, testing, analysts, and release managers as a lead member of the development team in order to accomplish the business goal.

*Write the detail technical design documentation,

*Code and unit test J2ee applications

Candidate should have a bachelor's degree in related business area or equivalent work experience and 6 or more years of related work experience

*1 or more years of experience in a technical lead role

*Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle, product development methodologies and system integration

*Experience with unix (AIX) operating systems

*Understanding of coding design and documentation protocol as well as unit testing, change management and release procedures

*Demonstrated experience programming using java J2EE language

*PC Skills

*Experience using SQL or similar query language

*Demonstrated experience using debugging tools -RAD

*Demonstrated experience using versioning tools (Clear case, )

*Experience using a report-writing tool

Healthcare industry knowledge ( I would hire without but this very nice to have)

*Flowcharting tools (Visio)

*IBM Websphere Application server 6.0 experience

*3 or more years with RUP methodology and rational tools

*5-6 years of experience developing web based services and SOA

*5-6 years Experience developing in Hibernate and Spring
