We are currently seeking a LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) Project Manager who have led or been a part of a LIMS upgrade/migration. The role is accountable for determining and delivering solutions to approved budget and schedule commitments while meeting required quality and compliance standards. Focus areas include stakeholder management (varies by stakeholder), risk management and delivery of business benefit.
• Oversee and approve plans for projects/programs, including activities, resources, costs, roles responsibilities and quality as defined in the IS Project Delivery Methodology (IS PDM)
• Manage and coordinate project / program budgets, forecasts, tasks, schedules, risks, change management and status to support effective decisions and project reporting to stakeholders and steering committees
• Manage relationships with senior business stakeholders to ensure the effective capturing of business requirements and commitment to project/program objectives. Responsible for steering/stakeholder meetings, communication of status, issues, risks
• Drive effective risks and issues management, ensuring processes are in place and effectively used. Ensure problems resolved and escalate as appropriate
• Build a cohesive project/program team and provide the leadership necessary to maximize the team's success
• Ensure the project team adheres to all standards including IS PDM, quality and compliance as well as processes, defined technical capabilities and best practices. Establish program governance and lead Decision Point reviews, member Steering Committee meetings
• Ensure expected benefits realization is consistent with project deliverables and clearly understood by stakeholders and project team
• Support and reinforce adoption of project management best practices and IS PDM
Required Experience:
• 7+ years project management experience, within IT, with a track record of managing multiple medium to high risk projects simultaneously
• 5+ years managing vendor relationships and managing partner resources
• At least 1-2 years experience managing a LIMS implementation
