" Sorry, if this was not clear but in the job description we mentioned that the candidate needs to have installation/configuration/patch (infrastructure experience) of Hyperion environment (suite of tools). We are looking for a blended experience with app development and some infrastructure experience (not at a sysadmin level but someone who can resolve application issues related to environment through patching, upgrades etc.,). We are not interested in only application development or project management in a candidate.
Job Description:
Client is looking to a hire a Hyperion engineer with around 5 years experience with Hyperion and Essbase for his team. Below are the job details.
Client is seeking a dynamic Oracle EPM/Hyperion support engineer responsible for the daily management of Hyperion applications and environments. Candidate will also be responsible for the application development/enhancement work. Position directly reports into the Business Intelligence (BI) Group.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
• Perform technical incident resolution in conjunction with application and Business teams
• Develop and support Essbase/Planning applications
• Resolve issues related to environment (installation, configuration, patches etc)
• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload effectively, willingness to work outside of normal work hours and thrive in a dynamic environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Hands on experience in developing Hyperion applications including Essbase, Planning, ODI, Studio/EIS. HFM, FDM a plus, but not required (3+ years)
• Hands on experience in developing and supporting Essbase cubes (BSO & ASO), calculation scripts, web forms and business rules, reports (3+ years)
• Experience in developing reports using Financial Reporting, Web Analysis, Smartview. Nice to have Excel VBA (3+ years)
• Demonstrated experience in support/development role by collaborating with technical leads, other developers, Business partners (5+ years)
• Knowledge of application software development life cycle concepts, lean and agile methodologies and practices (3-5 years)
• Good understanding of financial & accounting processes, month end activities
• Good understanding of data warehousing concepts
• Experience with SQL, MaxL/Esscmd, Batch/Perl/Shell scripting. Ability to automate the environment
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Outstanding organization and planning skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
