Job Description:
One of my clients in San Diego, CA is looking for a Solutions Architect for a 4-5 month project. This candidate will handle the day-to-day storage management tasks (provisioning, zoning, planning and troubleshooting). Netapp FAS3170 (NFS/CIFS); No iSCSI. This candidate needs to be knowledgeable in VMAX and Netapp. The customer's has a staff of 6 people managing 10pb of data and this candidate will be cross trained in all the areas. Our client's team knows how to do the below tasks for all of the following products/platforms:
- Netapp/VMAX /Netbackup/various Switch Platforms/Data Domain/EDL/SRDF
Responsibilities:
- 50% Allocations/Storage Provisioning (75% Netapp, 25% VMAX/DMX)
- 20% understanding/qualifying customer requirements
- 20% troubleshooting issues (performance, access to storage, SRDF, etc)
- 10% various other duties
Skills:
Skills Hardware: DMX, CDL/EDL, McData Switches, Brocade Switches, Cisco Switches, V-MAX, Netapp,
Skills Software: SRDF Asynchronous, SRDF Synchronous, Netbackup, Data Domain,
Skills OS: Windows, Sun, Linux, VMWare ESX
Skills Other: SMC; Quantum Tape Libs
