Position: JSF/Java developer

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Duration: 11 Months

Responsibilities:
• Involved in various design meetings and JAD sessions, to discuss the design impacts and changes needed for Manual Plot (RDB – KOR) project
• Developed and successfully implemented the required web services and functionality needed for the Manual Plot project
• Successfully maintained and implemented required functionalities need for MRL (RDB – AWAD) project
• Fine tuned MRL report queries, designed and implemented Oracle materialized views to run reports faster
• Managed project related Development and Integration environment WebLogic Servers and worked closely with DBA team for database maintenance
• Followed coding and design standards and guidelines, while designing the interfaces and producing various artifacts
• Participated in daily status meetings, worked closely with QAS team, to meet project deadlines
• Monitored RDB production system on daily basis and fixed any issues in quick turnaround time
• Provided technical guidance and assistance to other project (DRPS prototype) members in developing the applications
• Provided technical guidance and assistance to junior developers on team
Education requirements: IT degree or equivalent experience
Minimum years experience in the following areas:
Must have at least 5 years of Java, 3 years of SQL, 2 years of XML, 1 year of Unix, and 2 years of Web Services and Icefaces
Work related skills:
Must be proficient in Java, specifically JDBC, JMS, Spring framework, Web Services, XML Schema and SQL. Must have great understanding of Object Oriented Programming Concept. Beneficial to have experience with BEA Weblogic Server, JSP/JSF/Servlet, Maven, and Hibernate. Prefer to have prior experiences in enterprise system performance tuning, knowledge about Weblogic Data Source configurations, and Global transaction configurations.

The Data Modeler works with a Lead Data Architect to understand, modify or create data warehouse data structures to source claims and membership data from external systems, including database design, data profiling and data mapping. The
