Position: Business Analyst with P&C Claims experience
Location: NJ

General Responsibilities
• Interview stakeholders to clarify improvement opportunity
• Develop business requirements document (BRD) based on user interviews and review of current state workflow/systems
• Validate requirements with stakeholders, ensuring user needs are clearly and accurately captured
• Evaluate current state workflow and system functionality within context area, identifying improvement opportunities
• Work with IT team to interpret requirements into actionable specifications
• Serve as liaison to user throughout system development life cycle
• Serve as the focal coordination point for communication and resolution of all issues pertaining to the BRD
Requirements
• Excellent communication skills (oral, written AND listening), including ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
• Strong customer service orientation, with emphasis on delivering results over form
• Excellent analytical skills, as evidenced by ability to understand and document workflows and concisely represent complex subject matter in understandable form
• Understanding of the system development life cycle, and the role of the BA in the process
• Successful experience in creating requirements documents, validating them with stakeholders, and working closely with IT staff to translate the requirements into actionable specs
• Ability to work independently and plan and prioritize workload.
• Strong problem solving skills
• BS /BA Degree or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years front-line BA experience, with Claims systems experience strongly preferred
