QA Analyst
Evaluates and tests new or modified software programs and software
development procedures used to verify that programs function according
to user requirements and conforms to establishment guidelines.
Writes, revises, and verifies quality standards and test procedures
for program design and product evaluation to ascertain quality of
software.
Reviews new or modified program, including documentation, diagram, and
flowchart, to determine if program will perform according to user
request and conform to guidelines.
Review computer operating logs to identify program processing errors.
Tests program for validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and
conformance to establishment standards.
Identify differences between establishment standards and user
applications and suggest modifications to conform to standards.
Conduct compatibility tests with vendor-provided programs. Maintain
database of known test defects.
Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.
Follow standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality
or release readiness.
Develop testing scenarios that address areas such as database impacts,
software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug
retests, or usability.
Document software defects, using a defect tracking system, and report
defects to software developers in a clear and concise manner by having
the ability to demonstrate how the defect occurred and exactly where
the defect resides.
Monitor defect resolution efforts and track successes.
Document test procedures to ensure repeatability and compliance with
standards. Identify program deviance from standards, and suggest
modifications to ensure compliance.
Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function,
output, online screen, or content.
Install, maintain, or use software testing programs.
Investigate customer problems referred by technical support.
Monitor program performance to ensure efficient and problem-free
operations.
Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional
requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
Perform initial debugging procedures by reviewing configuration files,
logs, or code pieces to determine breakdown source.
Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or
delivery dates.
Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software
usability and functionality.
Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.
Coordinate user or third party testing.
Provide technical support during software installation or
configuration.
Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy,
compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks.
4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent
experience

* 2+ years experience testing web-based applications across multiple
browsers * Testing cross-browser web applications * Using bug tracking
software * Track record of getting successfully tested projects into
production * Fanatical about details * Excellent communication and
documentation skills
* Test automation frameworks (e.g. Selenium)
* Work with product engineering to coordinate testing client site
experiments * Develop and implement test plans for releases of our
customer facing web applications * Evaluate customer reports,
reproduce and escalate as necessary * Establish and maintain automated
test suites for our products

highly desired. * Experience with automated test tools such as
Selenium, Quick Test Pro, SilkTest, WatiN/WatiR, Visual Studio Team
System, or equivalent is strongly preferred. * Experience writing and
using SQL queries is strongly preferred. * Experience with a modern
programming language - Java, C#, strongly preferred * Strong
background in Windows platform will be preferred. * Able to work
independently and with small focused teams in a fast paced, aggressive
environment. * Persistent "can-do" attitude, aggressive work ethic,
and "hustle" mentality. * Passion for quality of the software being
developed
* 7+ years as a QA or 5+ years in development/systems administrator *
5+ year using SQL Server and writing SQL Queries. * 5+ years
experience with Test Automation using QTP. * Familiar with the Agile
methodology for SDLC
* Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or four
years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of
education and experience
