Must-haves
2-3 years of experience as a Web Developer (one year could be working while in school)
Entry-mid level experience in PHP but, experience in Java, C# or Ruby would be okay, too
Strong experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jquery)
Strong experience with Object Oriented Programming
Experience working in a Linux environment - required
STRONG Attention to detail
Ability to work and grow in a small group(5 people)
HUGE desire to learn new things and ability to be coached
Plusses
Experience working with/writing SQL Database queries
Any familiarity with the Zend Framework is a huge plus
Experience with any MVC programming is a plus (like Java spring or C# or MVC)
Day-to-Day
Our client is looking to add an entry-level web developer to their team to help complete projects over a contract duration. This candidate will be completing projects using PHP within the Zend Framework. Also, this candidate will be doing about 80-90% development and the rest of their time will be spent meeting with the team, learning new skills, going over what works/what doesn't work, team meetings, etc. Various projects that could be working on during the contract period include, sser interface with Google maps, Using and creating SOAP web services, Creating new web applications to assist in some workflow processes, New processes to check on equipment at customer homes, and building some new features into our existing tools. Ability to make it up as they go.
