JOB TITLE   : UNIX Systems Administrator
Location       : Piscataway, NJ
Duration      :   6 Month
Rate              :   $45/Hr

Summary:
Responsible for overall maintenance and administration of all UNIX systems supported by the Systems Support and Engineering team.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Coordinate projects of the Systems Engineering team to deliver and support plans for new technology implementations.
Sustain a high rate of workflow and work on multiple projects.
Contribute to the analysis, design, build and test phases of new/existing servers
Recommend and implement policies on system deployment, use and services.
Develop and implement effective host security and control structures for hosted products and environments.
Implement and test disaster recovery mechanisms.
Work closely with development and quality assurance staff to ensure smooth product life cycle implementation.

Technical Requirements:

Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 4 years systems administration experience, with at least 2 years in a UNIX hosting

environment.
They should be comfortable with several UNIX platforms, such as SUN Solaris, HP-UX, Red Hat and SuSE Linux.
Knowledge and understanding of network concepts and technology including TCP/IP protocols, high availability system design, Web

hosting or database management is preferred.
Experience in building and supporting environments with 100% uptime requirement is desired.

Data Analyst

Location: Jersey City, NJ (Need locals or nearby area)

Duration: 6 months

looking for a Data Analyst for a contract position (min 6 months) in Jersey City, NJ. Candidate will work with the PM in the ECORT Data Strategy Group. Resource will also work with trade lifecycle, trading and risk systems and investment banking. Candidate must be able to function across a universe of securities and financial instruments, client and account reference data and compliance and risk regulations. Resource must have hands on knowledge of SQL and ability to profile data and investigate data quality issues.

Candidates have to have heavy sql skills – along with analysis skills such as data manipulating, data cleansing, data quality and development level sql skills with any database.

They want them to have a trading background – some of what they do is foreign exchange related but any trading is ok.

We are getting reamed by the new head guy on this who is screaming at us for having an unfilled chair for 2 months since our candidate left. Please as many as can – see if you can get some resumes in tomorrow

Responsibilities:

Investigate key changes across the enterprise - business transition, systems decommissioning and replacement, major business process and data flow changes - and assess their possible impact on the CSDR data provisioning and the CSDR data consumers
Discuss with data consumers and analyze requirements of new surveillance models and compliance reports.
Discuss with various groups in order to identify appropriate sources for and procure new data sets required by the surveillance activities
Analyze the data sets and map them into the CSDR core data model.
Create and maintain data request and mapping documents
Work with data modelers to extend the current CSDR model whenever necessary.
Supervise Data model and ETL design and implementation to ensure timely data availability
Investigate complaints and data quality issues.
The candidate will be equally at home in business and hands-on data analysis
Very good analytical thinking and communication skills.
5 years' experience with brokerage business and systems.
