HyperWorks QA Engineer

Description: Evaluating new HyperWorks software features; Identifying
problems and suggesting improvements; Developing complex test cases;
Validating corrections and changes; Performing benchmarks and studies.
Generating finite element models to test advanced feature and
functionalities in Hypermesh. Testing critical core features of
Hypermesh such as connectors, meshing, morphing, cad import,
composites and graphics. Utilizing UNIX scripts and programming tools
to test Hypermesh software. Designing and developing various automated
and manual tests to ensure functionality of various FEA solver outputs
in Hyperemsh. Identifying problems, suggesting improvements and
logging them in the defect tracking system for core Hypermesh.
Identifying, collecting, and analyzing data necessary to diagnose
customer problems

Requirements: Master's in Mechanical Engineering. Academic training
and/or experience must have included: FEA software packages including
HyperMesh, LS-Dyna, Windows, Unix.

Job Description:

Client has 5 SQL/SSIS Developer positions open. The candidate must have a strong SQL development background as well as some .NET development experience. They are creating two seperate teams for two different projects. The one is a Bid System project. This will be working directly with the Part D Prescription which Client must submit to the Government on an annual basis to apply for renewal. The other project is the Veroli project which is the Outbound Messaging Package. This would be creating files, receiving files, and creating reports for internal customers and must meet federal compliance.

Additional Job Info:

The right candidate would have a thorough understanding of how indexes work in SQL Server as well as experience with basic normalized Database concerpts, advanced SQL Server troubleshooting and tuning skills.

They would also be looking for someone with good stored procedure development skills and a solid understanding of Slowly Changing Dimensions concepts.

As far as SSIS, the candidate must have experience with loading and exporting files, solid understnading of diiferenct components within SSIS, good scripting skills, and somewhat of a .NET background. Data Warehouse experience and Cognos experience is a plus.

Legacy Remediation - Storage Project

Storage Area Network (SAN) Engineer Design/configure fiber channel attached (SAN) storage and Network Attached Storage (NAS) to meet business needs. Work with System Administrators and/or Applications Teams to migrate their data from older IBM ESS800 and EMC DMX2 storage units to new VMAX and CX4 units using VPLEX directors. Conduct analyses to determine the best way to configure the disk volumes or file systems for optimum performance and availability (disk array configuration management). Interface with System Administrators and/or Application teams to troubleshoot and fix application/performance problems.

Assist in the planning and migration of TSM systems from V5.x.x to V6.x.x and then execute said plans. Participate in planning for separate data backup flow for long term data retention of data. Create Separate backup / recovery flows for Tactical/BCP data recovery vs. Long-Term retention and data archive. Migrate data and backup schedules from LT02/TapeLib equipment to new LT04/TabeLib and Data Domain 880 VTL Disk/De-dup Backup Units. Add/modify/remove TSM Schedules as needed, cataloging tapes, vaulting tapes and moving them in and out of the automated tape library to physical storage racks, receiving tapes, checking them in, unpacking them,labeling them and getting them ready for use, investigate and resolve failed backups on these new systems, and assist internal customers in recovery of data from TSM.

skill: Senior (7+ yrs)

skills: 3-7 yrs IBM's Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) preferred. Basic Unix (Solaris, AIX, Linux) and Windows system administration skills are preferred.
