Senior UX/UI Developer / Information Architect
Description:
Were currently seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer and/or Information Architect to lead concept and design development of high quality creative work including information architecture, human factors / usability designs, web/UI development, etc. The role will require ability to understand clients business problems and achieve their objectives across all media through strategic solutions.
Responsibilities:
Drive UX/UI design & development throughout all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) including requirements gathering/analysis, UI prototyping, information architecture, QA/UAT testing, etc.
Represent the User Experience by translating requirements into UI designs/specifications and inspire the project team to develop the right product/application.
Influence application development strategy and direction by working with the project team to translate business goals into the best software solutions meeting customer needs.
Define UI standards and best practices; work with project team to ensure consistency among features and applications.
Create clear, usable artifacts to articulate the proposed solution and the goals it serves; develop and maintain prototypes/mockups, wireframes, graphics/videos, specifications, etc.
Define innovative user interfaces and experience styles which results in improved user productivity, enhanced usability, and increase application effectiveness.
Become an expert in the field and work directly with functional owner and user community to understand their needs, overcome their biases, and ultimately reach overall consensus/support amongst various stakeholders.
Collaborate with other technical teams to ensure application of quality of services such as scalability, maintainability, extensibility, reusability, availability, security, and performance.
Work independently and make actionable recommendations to managers, directors, and senior stakeholders based on his/her expertise
Provide mentorship within teams, departments and across campus
Keep current with emerging technologies related to UI/UX.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related area, and/or equivalent experience/training.
5+ years experience in UX/UI design & development.
Proven track record in UI/UX designs with high degree of creativity, interaction design, and problem solving ability to design the best User Experience.
Extensive experience in JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
Clear understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.
Excellent presentation skills and strong software design communication skills; ability to communicate ones ideas through his/her designs
Ability to work in dynamic environment with competing priorities, a team player comfortable with working across other groups and collaborating with customers, stakeholders, technologists, and management.
High commitment to excellence, collaboration, team achievement, and good communication.
Ability to solve complex problems with innovative and elegant designs as well as delivering robust functionality on time.
Familiarity with Agile, Web 2.0, Semantic Web, and other web related.
