Job title: Business Analyst (business side)
Duration: 6-12 months
Location: Wilmington, DE
Rate: $35/hr on C2C. (MAX rate)
Prior experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance explanations, cost control, analytics, and transactional accounting is required for the role.
Responsibilities include the following:
* Working with subject matter experts to obtain inputs for key assumptions needed to build/reforecast the budget.
* Forecasting and budgeting the expected revenue drivers, preparing monthly variance explanations of actual results vs. forecast/budget
* Participating in formulating new internal processes and analytical reports to improve information resources available to senior level management.
* Creating Business Cases and participating in Finance Business Case Reviews
* Responsible for obtaining valid quote/invoice from Vendor and initiating ECCS purchase requests.
* Ensuring ECCS purchase requests are processed in a timely manner, expediting approvals as needed.
* Validating contractor funding prior to submitting and creating contractor staffing requests.
* Overseeing vendor invoicing including receipt, timing and payment approval.
* Assembling, compiling, and analyzing data and resolving inconsistencies in data from various system sources.
* Serving as a liaison with IS Finance, with particular focus on fixed asset reconciliation, review and approval of charge backs.
* Managing and Facilitating the financial management process and present findings on formal quarterly basis
* Producing ad-hoc analysis for senior management upon request.
Skills:
* Previous budgeting/purchasing experience is preferred.
* At least 5 years of progressively responsible work experience in financial analyses.
* Must be able to independently plan and conduct routine and non-routine financial analysis/reporting projects and consult effectively on highly technical projects with management.
* Excellent PC skills with Microsoft products such as Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint. Experience using SAP is preferred.
* Must be able to independently plan and conduct non-routine financial analysis/reporting projects and consult effectively on highly technical projects.
* Must have excellent written and oral communication, problem solving and analytical skills.
