Business Intelligence Developer

Responsibilities*

Clinical dashboards play an important and an expanding role in measuring the effectiveness of quality improvement programs underway at the Health System. These dashboards, associated metrics and underlying reports all draw upon data from a complex network of clinical and financial applications. The University of Michigan Health System's Office of Clinical Affairs oversees these quality improvement programs. CIDSS, a department within this Office, provides information to help clinicians monitor and improve the quality, safety and efficiency of patient care.

A contractor with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition(formerly Siebel Analytics; aka OBIEE) experience is required for approximately a 3 month project.  One of the dashboard data sources has changed.  The dashboards need to be converted to use the new source.   The BI Developer will receive functional direction from CIDSS.

Required Qualifications*
- 1+ years of experience with both the back-end and front-end of Oracle Business Intelligence (formerly Siebel); note that we use Oracle BI Server, Admin Tool, Answers, Interactive Dashboards, and Delivers.
- Ability to communicate directly with users about requirements
- Must work well independently and as part of a team.
- Must have excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent collaboration and coordination skills for an effective relationship with multiple teams, subject matter experts (SMEs), and customers.

Nice to Have Qualifications*

- 5+ years of experience and detailed knowledge of PL/SQL
- Experience with the University of Michigan Health System

- Experience in working with healthcare data including, especially, data analysis
- Experience with data modeling
- Experience integrating data from multiple sources
