Primary Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a Project Manager to assist Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence software development team. Resource must be based in San Jose. Standard work hours of M-F 8a-5p. Resume, skills verification, and references required.

Duties and responsibilities
• Manage software development and other projects in compliance with our product development lifecycle • Focus on projects and subject matter areas covered by Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence team, which comprises projects related to the finance, funds processing, and risk organizations

 

Qualifications
• Experience working multiple projects and programs, strong ability to multitask with proven track record of execution on initiatives/programs • 5+ years overall professional work experience • 2+ years experience as a project manager handling multiple simultaneous projects • Demonstrated experience supporting a software development, data warehousing, or IT team • Experienced with SDLC such as RUP, Agile and others • Demonstrated experience supporting a finance or accounting G&A team or financial institution back-office technology team.
• Experienced using project management tools (e.g., Clarity or Microsoft Project) • Conscientious, strong relationship management and team skills, flexible, attentive to detail and quality • Strong communication skills – verbal, written and interpersonal • Business acumen in a number of areas such as marketing, sales, finance, compliance, operations, etc.
• Technical Acumen – Ideally, they should be familiar and comfortable with following concepts:
o Data movement: Databases (Oracle, DB2, Teradata), ETL (Informatica for example) and other Database tools and modelling environments o QA, environments, etc.
o Infrastructure: Know about how to manage projects requiring server set-up, racking, powering, networking o Systems, Batch jobs, working with/managing DBAs, ETL Engineers, Tech Leads, Architects, Data Modellers, Data Analysts, System Admins, etc.
o Business Intelligence – Business Objects, Hyperion, MicroStrategy, Essbase, Cognos, Oracle, etc. managing dashboard, reporting systems and the like.
