Mainframe Migration Solution Architect
Location:- Remote work
Position Type:- Full Time
Salary:- Open

With consultants, solution architects and project managers worldwide we help clients to realign their IT strategies and how they make best use of technology platforms to create or capitalize on business opportunities.

The EMEA Mainframe Migration Solution Architect is responsible for supporting colleagues in the countries within the Mainframe Alternative area. She/he ensures the proper use of key Migration solutions by the local teams (focus on Mainframe but with wider modernization understanding) and makes sure, that the offered/sold solution are based on proven , cost effective technologies and design patterns

Activities include but are not limited to:

•        Provide the technical and architectural aspects in pursuit/delivery phases

•        Participate in pursuit workshops, focusing on architecture and migration methodology

•        Gather all related customer information required for the analysis and design phases and build a soution roadmap to the customer

•        Build the mainframe migration strategy for customer (based on hp solutions and 3rd party solutions)

•        Support bid / proposal development and presentation, working with business consultants and pursuit/delivery teams on project plan to ensure all necessary HP and 3rd Party deliverables
          and resource are identified

•        Partcipate in Projects Delivery, mostly in key milestones of complex deals.

 

Expected profile :
 

•        Mainframe strong background (Preferably knowledge of IBM environments i.e. Cobol/JCL/ etc. Unisys is also good)

•        Open systems design & development experience (preferably J2EE. .NET also good)

•        Database migration experience (Mainframe to preferably Oracle)

•        Mainframe application migration / rehosting/ re-engineering experience

•        Preferably knowledge of application modernization related tools ( e.g. MicroFocus, Clerity ..)

 
Others :

•        10+ years of experience related area

•        Must have performed mainframe migrations (rehosting) on several migrations projects that successfully went live

•        Knowledge in software life cycle management

•        customer-facing skills

•        track record in successful professional services delivery

•        fluent in English + other preferred ( e.g. German, Italian, Dutch)

•        50-75% Travel availability across Europe and Middle East
