1. WAS Administration (Installation. Configuration and automation)
2.  Jython Scripting
3.  Shell Scripting
4.  AIX/Linux Experience
5.  Basic Database Experience (DB2 / Oracle)

 

Description:

·         This candidate will be responsible for installation, configuration and administration of application servers, Webservers, Middleware products that host intranet / internet facing Java / J2EE applications.

·         He/She will also provide 24/7 technical support for highly available production and non-production environments, and upcoming projects.

·         Possess good WAS/MQ admin skills, analytical skills, problem resolution and troubleshooting skills.

·         Follows all Middleware Administration, Change Control, Release, Incident reporting, Security, and Configuration Management processes, policies, operating plans, and mandates.

·         Candidate requires good interpersonal/communication skills as there is constant interaction with other internal and external teams. The candidate should be able to proactively communicate task status and issues to the manager.

·         Lead other applications team members in selected project activities. Collects client requirements, performs analysis, writes program specifications and develops designs for medium size projects. Performs some technical evaluation of products.

·         Responsible for producing high quality deliverables in a timely fashion.

·         Performs project management activities such as planning, sizing, and scheduling activities. Responsible for analyzing problems, developing solutions and making decisions that impact projects.

·         Ensures systems implementations occur in accordance with established Change Control procedures. Proactively communicates status reports and issues to manager
