QA Technical System Tester
Work Location: Oakville, Canada
Duration: 3 Months Contract
Rate : Market
Summary:
Our QA mandate includes both software and hardware understanding to test the system thoroughly. Work with a product in a fast track to market, including mechanical handling, sensors, cameras, VOIP, user interactions, inventory systems, and database reporting.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Analysis, and testing of software to prescribed technical and business requirements using automated and manual testing processes
• Evaluation of current workflows to convert to test scenarios
• Converting Business requirements test cases
• Development of test metrics
• Manage defect tracking system
• Analysis of test metrics
• Work with software and engineering teams to ensure proper resolutions to defects
• Design and support documentation
• Identify and document environmental verification tests
Requirements:
• Degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited educational institution
• Proven experience with Integration and Systems Test leadership related to multiple interface, enterprise wide and distributed systems
• In depth knowledge of software test methodologies
• Experience with different software testing techniques for enterprise systems
• Eligibility to work in USA and to visit Canada for training purposes
• Effective verbal and written communications, with an ability to effectively convey information, concepts and ideas to others
• Ability to work effectively inside a multi-disciplinary team environment
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple work activities, to completion, while meeting or exceeding deadlines
• Ability to effectively navigate dynamic requirements and priorities
• Strong organization skills, dependability, pro-active, self-motivated, and goal-oriented with attention to detail
• Eligibility for security clearance (police employment check)
• Ability to look through large log files using tools
Assets but not mandatory at all:
• Exposure to platform-level software development, including security and scalability aspects
• Experience with FogBugz and Test Rail
• Familiarity with the pharmaceutical industry including regulatory requirements
